Return of the Hemo talent builds

For the sake of other rogues out there who are pretty excited about the return of Hemo, Deadeight has complied his own list of favorite Hemo builds for us to try if we want to use the ability but aren't really sure how it should fit with our other talents.One of the builds is quite a bit like my rogue's new leveling build (as well as Chris's latest Build Shop rogue build), so I guess that means a number of other players love the new Cheat Death too, and not everyone thinks Shadowstep is a waste. I'm not a high-end raider going for the top damage, or a PvPer going for the ultimate skill combination. I just like zipping about all over the place every 30 seconds while questing or doing normal instances, and I figure whatever I lose in damage in order to get that is more than made up for by the "wheee! teleport!" factor.
So if you're the type of rogue who suddenly feels tempted to cause lots of hemorrhages, this guide could be a handy starting point, or else a nice way to measure up your own personal build against what other people thought would be good.

So for all you rogues out there getting Hemo + Shadowstep, what weapons are you using?
As I understand it, hemo daggers is still bad since you want a really slow weapon just like Sinister Strike.
And why Shadowstep if you aren't going to Backstab or Ambush?
I would like to try a Mace Hemo, Prep, Adrenaline rush for arena.

11/26/24 ftw :) That's what I spec'd my rogue into, sword spec + hemo is pretty powerful. I leveled sub and loved it, so happy to have MoD/Camo back!

2: I'd presume they intend to use it right before a finishing move, for extra rupture/eviscerate/whatever damage. I'm not sure I see the appeal of that, though; I think the hemo + shadowstep builds are mostly just because shadowstep is cool and people want it, while hemo being viable again gives them an excuse to be going into sub in the first place.

Straight up PvE build. I didn't take ghostly strike since most of the time I don't need the extra dodge and Hemo now has the same dmg modifier. :)

I for one love hemo+shadowstep. It isn't the king of DPS, but it's truly more fun than a rogue should be allowed to have! This is especially true is you like BGs.
As for what weapon to use, I go Daggers for the ShdwStp+PreMed+Ambush open then I switch to Swords for Hemo. Works great!
For even more fun, try using Deadly Poison with Hemo. Because you can crank out so many Hemos so quickly, the poison procs quick and before you know it you got 5 poisons ticking away!!!

Are fist weapons good for a hemo spec? I've seen swords being mentioned a lot but very little mention of fist weapons, I think the added crit from fist specialization would add to the damage.
