Confirmed: Season 1 gear change delayed with Season 3

Drysc has confirmed that moving the Arena Season 1 gear to the honor vendor is part of the Season 3 event and has therefore been delayed along with Season 3. This means that you will be able to purchase Season 1 gear with honor on November 27th when Season 3 begins or on November 28th for European servers.
Drysc says there are technical reasons for the delay of purchasing the gear. The event that begins Arena Season 3 is "already tested and locked down" and while they have discussed releasing Season 1 to honor as per the original schedule, they have decided it is not feasible.
It was suggested that Blizzard start the event as originally scheduled on the 20th but not start Season 3 until the 27th. But Drysc responded that while it was possible, it would also make Season 3 gear available while Season 2 was still underway. "It's just not going to happen."
Do you think delaying the purchase of Season 1 gear with honor as a reasonable delay? Or do you see it as an opportunity to save up more honor for your purchases?

It will be great to have a bit more time to farm honour points for the items, but it doesn't really make much difference at the moment.
Yeah it would be great to have the items right now....but after spending weeks grinding elementals in Nagrand, i've developed A LOT of patience :P

Actually, It gets me about at least 7000 more honor, taking into account doing the Daily BGs quests. So, I have no real problem with it, but it sorta feels like moving Christmas for those of us waiting.

I guess it's more time to farm extra honour, I'm almost at the 75k cap (expecting S3 next week), and only need 66k for the new Vindicator's PvP epics, so I'll just spend whatever else I get on some nice PvP gems.
That could keep me ticking over for a couple of weeks anyway.

I would like to see them sooner, as I have a decent cache of honor and points. So if I can't get what I want next week, I'll get it the following week. I'll take this opportunity to earn points for other pieces instead.

@5, look up the S1 sets on wowhead.com, most of them have the new price listed in the comments section.
The delay is disappointing, but it also means more time for me to grind honor and maybe pick up another piece when S3 starts.

Well, that's an opportunity to rake up another 10k-20k honor points before the start of the season, meaning I can collect more pieces to start an arena career. I have no problems with this one.

Actually, I figured they wouldn't be available until season 3 started, anyways. It wouldn't really make sense to have something be available for both Honor and Arena points, and it really wouldn't be fair to have people work for them during this season only to find that they're unavailable.

When arena season 2 start the clost of season 1 items went down. Has anyone heard if the cost of season 2 items will go down with the start of season 3?

@10 ... I'd imagine the prices for S2 will be what S1 costs now. And when S4 comes out S2 will become availible for honor is my guess.

I think that the season 1 gear should be avalible for honor asap. I have the limit for honor and ive been there for a while... and i know a lot of people that would be really happy if it came out on the 20th [tommorrow].. but yeah what can you do..
