Just in case you were worried, even for just a second, that
the paltry ingame Death Knight video we got at BlizzCon was supposed to be the official trailer for the next expansion, worry not-- Nethaera has confirmed, just to be sure, that the best is yet to come. You may think it's silly, but I have to admit, after that ingame vid at Blizzcon,
the Lament of the Highborn video, and
the recent Zul'Aman video, I was just a little bit worried, way in the back of my mind, that Blizzard might be done making CGI for
WoW.
I'm glad I was wrong-- I can't wait to see Arthas back in classic cinematic form. We probably won't see it until a lot later than sooner (there is
still the Sunwell to release to the PTR and then the live realms), but it's good to know that we still get to see a badass CGI.
Truck commercials are all fine and good, but we still haven't heard a
"you are not prepared" for
Wrath yet.

Really, there was never any question that there would not be a CGI intro to WotLK.
Actually, what was presented at Blizzcon 1 for a 'teaser' to BC was much cruder than the one for WotLK - mostly composed of screenshots, artwork, and some in-game shots of places such as Karazhan, but without any mobs.
The WotLK teaser was very impressive in comparison.
After the recent videos using in-game material, however, I continue to be impressed by the cinematics department, and look forward to their next productions for Sunwell and so on.

i'm thinking it is "I am the one true king" or whatever he says at the end of the vid they showed, althought the bible thumpers might get in an uproar about that.

If you had a lot of people with that opens up a whole new perspective on sneak attacks.

I think it'll probably be one of the two lines from the vid
all that awaits you is death
or
in the end, all must serve the one true king

Here's the thing, Arthas as a character is much more cocksure than Illidan. Illidan is furious, angered at the very thought of being challenged, because it is a threat to him. Arthas wants to be challenged, he loves it, because he's so powerful he knows he can win.
In fact, from what I've gathered, Arthas is the main antagonist in WotLK, he's flat-out picking a fight, here. His cry would be far more grandiose, so I think we have heard it.
"So come then, you heroes, come in all your power and glory!"
It's a bit wordy, but I wouldn't have it any other way.

@8 Right on, I never liked Illidan as much as Arthas. The Lich King is so much cooler in his attitude... just calling on people to challenge him

Yeah, the original "in-game" trailer for BC was much worse than the one we got for Wrath. Who was worried?
Suzaku Nov 17th 2007 6:54PM
Hadn't it been confirmed long ago that their CGI team is hard at work on the new opening cinematic?
Actually, if you peak at the little screenshots on the Wrath features headings, some of those actually look like CGI, though a couple are clearly art or the new in-game Lich King model.

I dont think there was much worry about them not doing atleast one. If you think back to when to Burning Crusade was announced it was mostly just concept art in the first announcement trailer, atleast this time around its actually in-game footage.
Alot of people i know didnt like it because they would of prefered a cinematic or nothing atall, but atleast now we can see what Northrend will look like and then get proper cinematics clser to the release.
Weve still got the pre expansion patch that makes us go to Northrend, and the expansion itself to get the cinematics.
