I don't like to AoE Grind with frost. I prefer a fire spec with some points in Arcane. My strat is Pyro blast a mob the furthest way, then wait for it to approach and collect a couple buddies. If the mob selected does not agro others I will run around and Ice Lance about 4 other mobs till I have about 4-6 mobs on me. Then AE them till I get a nice group. Once I get a nice tight mob together then I will blast wave them, at higher levels I then throw a Dragons breath on them as well. I then drop back a few steps out of arms reach and AB them down. I also will spam Fire Blast when it become available. Usually I can do this twice before recharging with food and water. I can get between 6-18 mobs in these sets with an average of 10.

No matter what strat you choose, gear is essential. I choose gear that is high in stam and int as my goal is to get max kills in less time. I generally do carry two sets of gear on my. One is my AoE gear, the other is my normal gear. My normal gear is more designed for Instance/Raid than my AoE Gear.
