Extended maintenance and new Arena Season 3 vendors

In case you haven't heard, Arena Season 3 starts tomorrow. Blizzard is taking down the servers at 2 AM PST and is scheduled to bring them back up again at noon. When the servers come up, Season 3 will begin, Season 1 gear will be available for honor purchase and there will be new Arena Vendors.
You will no longer need to travel to Area 52, pile into the little hut and speak to the Pinchwhistles in order to buy your Arena gear. As of the beginning of Season 3, you will be able to purchase your Arena gear outside of the Arenas in Nagrand and Blade's Edge and even in the old world town of Gadgetzan.
How many pieces of Season 3 gear have you saved up for? What do you have planned for the downtime? (Other than reading WoW Insider and Massively, of course.)

As a casual player who doesn't have the chance to get on a PvP for more than an hour or two at a time, I'm super stoked about the Arena 1 gear. No, it's not the best. And I'm sure there's better gear to be had from Heroics. But this is one of my favorite moves Blizzard has made in a long time. I hope they continue this trickle down effect as the seasons progress!

i personally have only saved up 3k arena pts, but have managed to cap out my honor. helm+gloves season3 for me.

got 5k arena points and close to 70k honor, will get s3 head, chest and gloves, and the honor for the rest of the slots that need an uppgrade, allready got all the gems and enchants ready :)

haha. Yeah, ever since the giveaways have ended, most posts get a whopping zero comments.
It's a shame, really. The site has excellent coverage of MMOs. Unfortunately, its breadth is likely what is driving away a dedicated audience, since your average person is probably playing no more than one MMO, maybe two.

The week before the patch, I spec'd Frost and ground out the honor necessary to buy three pieces of S1 to compliment my S2 gloves. I also ground out enough Arena points to purchase S3 leggings.
Let me tell you...
As alliance grinding honor on an AB double-honor weekend, it was not fun. But, it was accomplished!

Hit 70 and logged off in Champions' Hall last night, so...
With the honor and marks that I have saved up (maxed honor and 90-100 of each mark except WSG), I will buy my S1 2H Weapon, Helm, Chestpiece, and Leggings. After that I will go back to grinding for the rest, and see if I can get an arena team together for the first time.
And I will be at work during the server maintenance :D .

So, I followed the trail of links from one post to another to finally get to the source... It leads to Curse, which has only a fleck of information, and comments that the details are wrong.

As a hunter arena time so far has been ZERO. That may change this season! I do have some honor etc... that can go towards season 1 gear, though.

Cute. So now when an gnome accidentally whacks a tauren while trying to click on the arena vendor, there's no guards to come racing halfway across town because of the accident.
Now we'll just have the vendors being controlled by hundreds of bored 12 year olds who have nothing better to do than stand around for hours and grief their opposite faction. When will Blizz learn to put vendors in respective cities and not in the middle of nowhere.

I'm a little upset with myself and my team because had I not missed our games two weeks ago I'd have enough honor for the waraxe and S3 pants. I'd have gotten the points I need this week had our team had a decent arena rating. Tonight when I log in I'll be getting my bracers, boots, and waraxe.
