WoW Moviewatch: Black Rose
After five days of showing you various runner ups to Warcraft Movies' Fabled Few machinima contest, it's time to put the spotlight on the finalist with the most votes. Who is the player who beat out Baron Soosdon for the top spot?
The $1,000 Grand Prize winner is Kenion with his Music entry, Black Rose. As the creator mentions on the movie's page, making action videos using the limited animation of WoW characters is tough. But with fast-moving music, clever camera angles, excellent editing and dazzling special effects, Kenion sure found a way to make it work.

Kenion makes amazing videos. He has several pvp videos on warcraftmovies.com as well. You should check them out if you have time.

The music isn't really my cup of tea, but the video was very well executed. But I do have the slight feeling that someone watched too much Naruto...

would have been...somewhat interesting if the rave music had been dropped out

I'd say DBZ instead of Naruto. At least with the "hitting then running to catch up so I can hit you in another direction" thing.

Beautiful - reminds me of Japanese watercolor paintings - a complex story layered over a simple backdrop; needing no words or lyrics to convey it. Great Job.

Yes, Japanese screens is what this reminded me of. I couldn't quite place it.

IIRC Kishimoto Masashi (creator of Naruto) has stated one of his influences has been the work of Toriyama Akira (creator Dragonball). I also was reminded of the fight sequences from watching this video and found it entertaining.

Too anime-esque for my taste. Didn't like it. Soosdon should've won.
