And WoW Radio is going 24 hours a day! Yes, our favorite internet radio station, WoW Radio, is
breaking out to full 24/7 content programming, and the WoW Insider Show is going to be part of the launch tomorrow afternoon. I'm sure we'll talk with someone from WoW Radio about their big enterprise, and we'll also be talking about everything else to go down in the
World of Warcraft this week, including
all that new PvP gear, why
the Alliance hates themselves, and since WoW Insider's own Zach Yonzon will be aboard for the ride, we'll definitely have to chat about
Arena smurfs and what their deal is.
So tune in tomorrow afternoon at 3:30 EST on WoW Radio for
the WoW Insider Show with myself, Turpster (unless he decides to ditch us again), and Zach Yonzon. And be sure to make time before and after that, too-- WoW Radio is going 24 hours a day! Congrats, guys!

Are they still going 24 hours by rehashing out of date shows? That wouldn't be very useful.... or entertaining

Sure it would. Our research has indicated very strongly that people are far more willing to simply click play and sample our productions without any additional effort on their part, than subscribe to podcast feeds or trawl through archives trying to find what they want. Feedback from our beta of the new service has been universally positive, showing a clear increase in the number of shows that listeners have been able to sample and exposing them to a huge library of varied material.
After all, we are supposedly 'WoW Radio', not a podcast. We have months and months worth of material that we've collected over our 3 years on the air, I really doubt anyone has listened to all of it. If you're wanting WoW-themed entertainment, what better way than to tune into a site that will now provide a 24/7 mix of live shows, archives, interviews, special features, serials, themed classic blocks and music shows? This is what we always wanted WoW Radio to be and by the sounds of it, so does our listenerbase.
I wish we could put out 24 hour's a day of new content, but sadly, with a few notable exceptions, all of the entertaining and high-quality WoW shows there are, are already a part of our lineup :)
We think you'll see the positive benefits of this service once it launches on Saturday.

Great, another WoW Insider podcast, can't wait :)
The best thing about their podcast is that while some shows have adverts at the start or end of the cast, they don't at all! They do stop in the middle for some music, but who doesn't like music? Am I right?
