New WotLK screens
A couple of days ago the European WoW site updated their Wrath of the Lich King page with a couple of new screenshots. If you're like me, any chance to devour new information about the expansion is welcome. You can see the first new shot at the top of this article and I've included the second below.
The first shot looks like a different angle of an area we've seen in previous pictures. There doesn't seem to be a lot we can glean from this photo, but you can see a Forsaken town in the far distance. If I had to guess from the terrain, I'd wager that we're looking at one of the starter zones, the Howling Fjord. What do you think? See anything I'm missing?
The second shot contains some unknown architecture. While it looks similar to the top of Utgarde Keep, it is different enough to still warrant speculation. What do you think we're looking at here?

Hooray...more scenery...
John: The reason the first shot look familiar is because it's basically the same as every other screen they released.
Sorry, but I bore very easily and I like action, or at least something different. I do like the second shot for that reason, though

Yea, I hate to complain, especially since the work they're doing is so good, but couldn't we maybe see something new Blizz? There must be something worth showing from another zone. How about a little Azjol-Nerub? A door or something? How about a new monster or something?

All these landscapes look all good but... we get it, you've updated your graphic drivers, now show us some monsters, maybe even a peak at siege engines?

I agree with Baluki and i cant wait for the Bestiary to come, i mean, we've seen some mobs so i think they could start putting some there.

The visual style of the expansion (as far as we've seen) seems very striking considering how "ordinary" the locals are (compared to the exoticness of Outland).

I have to admit that I really like the new Looks of Northrend.
I found Outland to be a bit too "flashy" and different for my taste of fantasy, so those Northrend screenshots really shine.
The Buildings really look like Viking Homes and I would really love to see all that Scenery.

I just hoping Bliz don't increase the min requirments too much. My powerbook runs great at the moment but I wouild hate to have to upgrade to run WotLK

The progression from WoW to BC to WotLK is reminding me of, get this, the progression of D&D through the years.
We had regular D&D, which was pretty basic, had all you needed though, and worked well.
Then came AD&D, flashy, big production, new realms, etc.
And now D&D 3rd Edition. Works better, smoother, and back to a grittier look.
That's just my impression of course, and 4th Edition is out in May so it won't matter in half a year anyhow.
Also, I'm glad that they're being quite slow on the reveals for this expansion. We have a handful of screenshots and I'm happy just to soak in the atmosphere they provide. Blow it too quick and people will be hanging up their accounts and waiting for it to hit anyway.

i want to see some screen shots of mobs, not just trash mobs but some interesting mobs, something like "i am going to randomly smoosh your toon so many times you will hate the sight/sound of me" like the fel reaver in Hellifire Peninsula.

Watch the Wrath of the Lich King video...
Giant Yeti is the new Fel Reaver.
