Why the hate for Fishing?

I maxed out my fishing long before learning to cook. From level 40 to 60 is was my main source of income. Follow along with me:

1) Run up and down the East coast of Tanaris, fishing all the Firefin, Blackmouth, and Stoneskin Eel pools you can find.

2) Pay special attention to Floating Wreckage. This is the real prize you're after. You'll get some Stranglekelp for the AH, Rumsey Rum for your friends to enjoy, and....

3) The Mithril Bound Trunk! Contains Silver, Greens, Leather, and Bolts of Mageweave. If you're not a Tailor, send everything to AH. Otherwise...

4) Turn the Mageweave into White Bandit Masks (which take 1 Bolt to make) If you're not an enchanter, sell the masks at AH. Otherwise....

5) Disenchant the Masks into Vision Dust. Send to AH.

I made hundreds of gold (and got many, many skillups)

Now I just use my Fishing to pull Furious Crawdads, Icefin Bluefish (cooked into Poached Bluefish), and Motes of Water from the lakes in Nagrand and Terrokar.

That clinking sound you hear is Gold pouring into my bags.
