Preview of the WoW comic #2
Those wascally wabbits at MTV Multiplayer have somehow gotten their paws (see what I did there?) on a five-page preview of the second World of Warcraft comic, still written by Walter Simonson, and drawn by Ludo Lullabi and Sandra Hope (the cover, pictured here, is done by Blizzard's own Samwise Didier, with an alternate cover by Jim Lee).I have to admit that I never got a chance to read the first WoW comic, but this does look a lot like the preview we saw a little while ago-- our amnesiac hero (whose name is now "Croc-bait"?) is fighting for his life in the Crimson Ring's arenas, with Orc Shaman (cheer! for the Horde!) Reghar Earthfury by his side. And by the way, giving those blades to a Human is not cool, Reggie baby. There is also a fun little cameo on the last page, but I'll leave it up to you all to speculate who that might be-- I have my own thoughts, but just to stay spoiler-free, I'll keep them to myself.
Still it is cool to see this thing come together, steeped in Warcraft lore as it is. The Blood Elf/Night Elf friction is a nice touch, too-- I'll definitely be shipping those two as the comic rolls on.

SWEET!! I LOVE COMICS! AND WoW! Together, it can only be really AWESOME! (providing they have an artist that can draw and a writer that can write, and that they don't screw up the plot by making it a WoW version of "Days of our Lives"... :) But I feel confident they took care of it well, and we won't be disappointed! :)

Looks like Anduin Lothar on that last page. The belt buckle suggests it, anyway.

The setting also suggests it.

Actually, couldn't this also be Uther? Belt buckle looks like:

So, this could lend credence to the theory that the character is the missing King Wrynn, or I suppose it somehow could be Turyalon (who is also missing)

Yeah, I love the comic, and bought 2...However, number one was only 22 (one side) pages long...so these previews are showing too much in my opinion. Make the comic longer, or show only the first page as preview.

I'm going with #4. :)

Actually, based on the hair of the guy, it isn't Uther. I believe Matthew is absolutely spot on with his guess.

Personally, I thought the comic was terrible. The art is good, but the story seems bland, and I think most people with any idea about the lore worked out who the mysterious amnesiac is when he was first announced.
But it seems good Warcraft fiction is impossible, if this, the manga and the mind-numbingly terrible books by Richard "Can't Write For Toffee" Knaak seem anything to go by. Still, pretty pictures, woo.

I'm fairly certain it's Anduin, the "Lion of Azeroth". Uther didn't have white hair or a bald head.

Looks cool...I pre-ordered mine and still haven't gotten my first issue yet...weak I refuse to pay twice for this thing, but I"m starting to get ticked off

It's nice to see a real Alliance hero again. Croc-bait will make a nice addition to the Alliance once he gets his memory back. >=)
See people? Blizzard is replacing the dead heroes, they always do.

I recant. I didn't know that Anduin Lothar was called the "Lion of Azeroth". Makes sense. :) The belt does look like the one in the picture of Uther, though. Maybe some sort of standard issue thing? :)

lol Croc-Bait OP.
need nerf for comic balance or will wipe all in AB. Resto Druid and Prot Pally don't get free Orc Shaman pet!

The easiest way to tell that it's Lothar and not Uther is that the guy looks exactly like old warcraft art for Lothar....

Actually the name croc-bait was used in the first issue early on, he'll prolly get the name lo'gosh or whatever sometime in this issue im guessing
