Jean-Claude Van Damme's French "What's Your Game" commercial, promised a few days ago, has gone live, and I rather like it. He is, apparently, a troll mage; he's put his physical combat days behind him. My French is a bit rusty, but I can catch most of it, and for the rest, Blizzard has kindly provided an English translation:
"My name is Jean-Claude Van Damme... and I am a mage."
"Hand-to-hand combat for me: it's over!"
"Now I can cast powerful spells!"
"Just try messing with me... I'll turn you into a sheep."
"A sheep!"
"...Because we all are a bit like sheep, you know..."
"I am Jean-Claude Van Damme, I am a mage.
"And you?"
"What's your game?"
We are all a bit like sheep, come to think of it. What do you think of this latest installment in a lovely ad campaign? Previously: William Shatner and Mr T, Willy Toledo. Verne Troyer is still listed as "coming soon."

Although cliche to make Verne a Gnome - I think it would play out well. Just imagine...

These commercials are classic lol. I had a feeling he'd be a mage.. and a Troll mage at that... lol the new mage pwerhouse is troll. Especially with icy veins coming soon.... /jking

There are many jokes about this 'actor' in France, him speaking a franglish (french with english words) is well known. This add is kinda a private french joke

i'l try to bit a bit mroe explicite. There are 3 major jokes in this add for french :
- He's a kung fu movie actor.
- He's using english words in his french sentences (he's famous for ;))
- He tries philosphy about being a sheep in the world. I can't explain without translating his billions interviews where he say amazing things about world and stuff (most of them are stupid, ofc :D)
If you don't know who he's and what he's famous for (more for his weird interviews than his movies ;)), you'll miss all the funny side of this add.

because he is famous to use random english word _any_ time even if he speaks french
