um, exactly. That's why this post is here, because they're wow related articles.
Reading ftw...

I've got a crazy idea here that I'm sure will be grayed out, deleted, or taken as obscenely trollish- how about instead of posting "Last Week on Massively" you guys just post the wow related stories on wowinsider and then on massively post a "Last Week on WoWinsider"? I know that you want to promote massively and all, but in all honesty, it's already an annoyance to sort through 1 blog's worth of fluff to find actual wow "insider content," I don't want to have to do it two times. Additionally, I'm wondering why the 3v3 tourney stuff didn't make a big splash on WoWinsider? Is the 3v3 tourney and dreamhack resurrection of paid wow arena tournaments really "general" mmorpg news? It looks pretty specific to wow to me, and it certainly looks more important than half of the dec 6th posts on wowinsider (If I'm missing a wowinsider post to the tourney please correct me- I don't remember seeing one and a search for 3v3, arena, and dreamhack turned up nothing on wowinsider).

If it's such a damn chore, why don't you spare US the chore of having to read YOUR drivel?
Koskun Dec 10th 2007 2:09AM
I was just getting ready to make a reply in the same view as Megalomaniac.
Some sort of cross posting is fine, but perhaps if Massively gets something that WoWInsider hasn't yet then just post that story with a "Massively" tag instead of just spamming WoWInsider with it all at once, regardless if it is all WoW specific, which just so happens to be the case this week.

I totally agree. Surely the WoW related articles should be posted primarily on WoWInsider and then referenced on Massively.
Unless of course they are planning to do away with WoW Insider like they did SL Insider.
Since they started focussing primarily on Massively they have "forgotten" to post a few "important" scene happenings here, perhaps they are posted on Massively but a lot of the readers who visit here DO NOT and WILL NOT visit Massively as they JUST want WoW news and discussion.

WoW Insider is not going anywhere. These weekly link posts do all the sorting for you.

Last week on Massively:
- a billion Second Life articles

I find it peculiar that there's WOW news/articles/whatever that ISN'T posted on WOW Insider, but is instead posted on a generic MMO blog.
Yes, you need to give WOW players a reason to read Massively, that's how that works, but...
I don't read Massively, I won't read Massively, and I will not read it even if WOW Insider is retired. It was a neat idea, but the implementation of it has been messy.
If we're ever allowed a more thorough sign in feature with the ability to customize the news we see, then maybe I'll give it another chance... until then, it's just Second Life Insider(which I do not approve of being lumped in as an MMO - this was your chance at fostering the new genre of "worldbuilding" software, whoops) with other MMO news weeded throughout to make it seem like a new blog.

Do you use RSS reader? You can subscribe to the WoW category, and make shiny happy people happy again.

EXACTLY. Massively is the new 'Second Life Insider', half of the posts are related to an MMO that only a small number of people play. I checked out Massively a couple times, but stopped reading when I realized that it was just a Second Life spam fest. I don't have time to wade through all that.

Once again "Last week on massively" delivers in spades =)
Matt Warner Dec 10th 2007 12:32PM
This will happen every week.

Massively is blocked here at work and wowinsider isn't. So my selfish vote goes for posting more stuff on wow insider! If I am at home, I would rather use my time to play wow, than chase down articles on the internet.
