A lack of left-handed WoW
Kaalis has a post on the forums about something that seems small, and yet is something I have never, ever, in all my years of playing this game, noticed before. Everyone (and I mean everyone) in Azeroth is right-handed. From the lowliest guard in Stormwind to the meanest boss in the Black Temple (probably not Illidan-- maybe Gorefiend), everyone who wields a weapon is right-handed. Even the Shivarra (those female demons with the six arms) wield their weapons in their top right hands. How incredibly strange.I should correct that: apparently Blizzard noticed this before they did Zul'Aman, and so there is one NPC in all of Azeroth (actually one character, because all players are right handed, too) that is left handed: Nalorakk, the bear boss. And you have to assume that after this, we'll see other bosses and NPCs that might mix things up a bit.
But for players and old NPCs, Bornakk says not to hold your breath. Blizzard is working hard on new customization options for Wrath of the Lich King, but turning players southpaw isn't one of them.

Hmmm.... left-handers are statistically more likely to be gay ( http://www.psychologytoday.com/articles/pto-100.html ). I think this explains why there is rampant homophobia within the World of Warcraft.

Two points - first, that "left-handers are more likely to be gay" isn't actually the result that's being reported (that would be "gays are more likely to be left-handed", which isn't the same thing); and second, that Kenneth Zucker, the author of the article Psychology Today is reporting on, is known largely for his attempts to force children with "gender identity disorder" into socially-acceptable mindsets based on their physiological sex.
All of which is to say that even if the report said what you say it does, it's not exactly trustworthy to begin with.

@Krick
have aluminium bats specially made for the likes of you.

...Should have been 'I have...' Anyway, you get the point.

erm... no... I don't get your point. What does homophobia in warcraft have to do with baseball bats?

I'd thought of this myself many times. Since I'm left handed. I find it rather saddenning that we're all basically forced to be right handed, there's no even an OPTION. I don't really think mirroring animations would be all that hard.
If it ever happened (assuming they wouldn't change existing characters) I would delete every one of my characters and reroll them left handed, thus giving blizzard more money and time. But, I have nothing better to do.

Just mirror all the characters so everyone is left handed. Who cares? Seriously, can't you find something better to do with your time?

I am not technically left handed. But, my Mom is, so we learned to do a lot of things left handed growing up. In fact, when we were playing and sword fighting was involved I often used my left hand to throw others off. I think it would be a cool addition to the game even if it were only for visual affect.

As a southpaw in RL, and a Warlock on the Left Hand Path of Magic in Azeroth (for the, erm, Greater Good,.. yeah that's it!) - I would LURVE to be southpaw in game.
That being said, being Left-handed, WoW keyboard controls (with a few binds) are natural, intuitive, and comfortable. I don't even use a mouse! Thankies, Blizz!
Sinisteria FTW!

it would be nice to have the ability to be left-handed in game. You righties don't know how much of the world is designed for you. Even advertising. Hold a pen or a pencil and read the words printed on it. They're upside down if you're left-handed. Everything is designed for you. Give us a little something.
