I’ve actually wished that they would remove the engineering specializations, move things around a little or at least allow us to re-spec the way Tailors and Blacksmiths can by a fee and not have to start over from scratch. The most important aspect of the engineering spec is the transporters. Before long you’ll bank your trinkets unless you PvP a lot and still find utility in them, though I think the battlemaster trinkets and the combat trinkets are much more beneficial to everybody in PvP. The goblin-only explosives are ridiculously expensive.Gnome: Gadgetzan and Toshley’s Station- The Gadgetzan trinket is awesome, the town being quite possibly the most remote frequented destination in the old world (saves you a port to IF, two flights and a boat trip), it puts you 2 minutes from Caverns of Time, in the best zone for mining Mithril and a short flight from Silithus – the best place to mine Thorium.- Toshley’s station is great for mining Adamantite and Fel Iron, BEM dailies and it’s basically smack in the middle of TK and Coilfang.Goblin: Everlook and Area 52.- Everlook is pretty damn useless these days and contrary to what I was told about Winterspring being a great place to get Thorium – it was horrible to mine there, ore being way too far apart and the zone itself being ridiculously large. It’s pretty much only there for me to port, hop the bird to Gadgetzan and take a smoke break.- Area 52 is definitely a good destination, and helps me get to TK with the quickness and short notice. Mining in Netherstorm is kinda crappy – yeah there’s lots of ore spawns and you’re almost guaranteed to get Adamantite, but it’s always farmed out and there’s a lot of very disjointed territory to cover that never seems to be as fruitful as Nagrand or BEM. But you do have the off-handed chance of finding 1 mote cloud per trip, 2 if you spend a lot of time there.I have long desired to try out Gnome Engineering, but I absolutely will not untrain – as I have gotten all of the new schematics and would have to do without my chopper, crafting my own ammo or using explosives. It think they could get around it if they revised how transporters worked. Let’s say you had a transporter that took you to a space station, where you could beam down to any one of those locations.
