What people tend to forget is that a BoP blue item has a value to anyone. It's not the same as a mining node or a corpse to be skinned. At the end of the run you have the exact same cash with or without a gatherer.

I agree, shard and award at the end.

I also agree with the earlier poster: if you want to say you levelled your skill so the DE belongs to you then the chests belong to those that can open them.
