Insider Trader Bulletin: Transmute mastery confirmed borked

It's not your imagination! Blue has finally reassured transmutation-specced alchemists that alchemy transmutes have indeed been suspiciously light since patch 2.3. In a post in Blizzard's Customer Service forum, Pavonum comments, "Ah, good question! Based on the notes I've consulted, it seems that Primal Might is currently the only transmutation proccing extras at the intended, higher rate; all other transmutations are proccing at an unintended, significantly lower rate. I hope that provides some clarification. :)"
A new sticky in the Professions forum updates players on the status of this issue. Naethera notes: "As of the 2.3 content patch, there's currently an issue with Transmutation Mastery by which the percentage chance to receive additional results from transmutations - aside from Transmute: Primal Might - is lower than the intended value. This is likely contributing to the dearth of procs you've observed, and I'd like to offer my apologies for any consternation that has arisen as a result of the discrepancy. I'm happy to report that this matter should be resolved in a future patch, but your continued patience in the interim is appreciated. :) "
That's a lot of blue :) to offset a lot of alchemist :( -- but the problem should be resolved soon!

I always like how Blizzard says 'in the near future' when it's negatively impacting players, yet if the transmutations would have procced MORE than intended they would hotfix it straight away.

Yeah, but you understand why they have to. No one ever had any unfair advantage from having not enough of something.

Good thing I already dropped xmute mastery awhile back. Potion mastery has been much kinder to me. It is however quite obvious that both elixir and potion mastery's procs have been nerfed as well, however most likely intentionally.

Booooo! They need to fix this sooon! Don't make us wait for a new patch!

How unstable is WoW Code anyway. Things break from patch to patch that are totally unrelated to anything that was patched in the first place.

I would just like to /facepalm all of the posters on the official forums that would respond to all the "I don't think transmute mastery is procc'ing enough" threads with "yeah, and Onyxia is deep breathing more."
Having a transmute mastery specc alt, I'm annoyed at this. I'm peeved that it took so long for Blizzard to actually take a look at this, I'm peeved that a fix is coming "in the future", and also I'm peeved that there obviously won't be any kind of refund or anything else to make nice for the fact that I haven't had a single proc since 2.3.

any idea when this is to be fixed

Well thats good. But last week I got a 4 proc then a few days later 2 days in a row of double procc and then a discovery of Primal Mana to Fire. Just lucky I guess.

I am fairly sure the proc rate for Transmutation alchemy has always been lower than intended. It is just unfortunate that they are now giving it some much needed attention, under the guise of a 2.3 "bug" of sorts.

Bah! I only do mights anyway so this has little effect on me. I get such an erratic proc rate with mights that I wouldn't notice if it had been nerfed or not. Having said that, when I think about the few non MIght tarnsmutes I've done since 2.3, i don't think iv'e had a single proc.
Truth be told, I think the more expensive/rare a transmute is, the higher it's proc rate should be. I mean you can take 1 primal and just keep transmuting it dialy and over time you'll amass a good bit of primals but man, doing that primal might is such a pain, it deserves a higher proc rate.
Now if they would only make it a daily cooldown type thing instead of a 23 hour one... would make a lot of people happy and wouldn't break things. Heaven forbid eh

Well, at least it isn't as obnoxious of a bug as the bank issue... this just screws you instead of the possibility of your entire guild.
Either way, tired of "In the future" bug fixes to issues. I know it is hard to give a hard date and time, but really, some of this stuff just seems like you need to call your coders in and slap them around. It works for me when my code gets sloppy!
