Breakfast Topic: Christmas WoW stories
When we come back from vacation, it's nice to ask each other how their holidays were, and hear all the interesting stories about what made the holidays so special. For those of you who played WoW on Christmas day, I wonder if you had any experiences which made that day special, somehow different from other days. Did you do out of your way to be especially kind, or encounter other players doing so, possibly even to you? Did you see lots of people saying "Merry Christmas!" in the various chat channels of the game? Did you do anything special with your friends in game?Filed under: Events, Breakfast Topics

on the server ive been playing on (Dark Iron-US) we have been having an issue with some NPCs in freewind post (dunno if other servers are having similar problems) would instead spawn off the cliff, down below the elevator and continue to despawn/respawn making turning in a couple quests very difficult (or impossible for the impatient) i of course wished the gm a happy holidays....both times i contacted them (the first gm fixed one of the two quest npcs...guess he missed one)

Didn't get home till late evening from RL Family Christmas. Logged into all my toons and got presents (yeah, I know, greedy). Then proceeded to lvl my mage to 56.

I do what I did every year and salvage as many Christm... Winter Veil pets on each one of my alts to make gold on the AH. Nothing says 'Happy Holidays' like that jingle in my pocket. Capitalism FTW!

Myself and 4 other members of my guild dispersed to each of the starter areas and handed out vanity pets & drops I farmed from Wailing Caverns, Deadmines & Shadowfang Keep. A lot of people were very happy, and it was a lot of fun for the guild to do. :3

Got my wife her warlock epic mount. I had about 1k gold on my main and was working towards my epic flying mount. She's not a real hard core player (super casual I would say...) so only had about 160 gold on her newly minted 60 (now 61) warlock. She just does basic questing, so I read up on the Dreadsteed quest chain and helped her out with every step of it. My main is a 70 mage that is very well geared so we tore through the quests and I pulled in some favors to get a bunch of other friends to do the Scholomance part. I gave her the gold to buy all of the materials for the quest chain, and then last night called in a few more favors for the Dire Maul portion of the chain.
I think she was happier getting her epic mount than she was getting the iPod Nano from me :)

We ran a X-Mas Kara. Nothing special though, had some snow balls fights and robot fights during the run.

Yesterday, The Grim Covenant on The Venture Co (US) put on a clinic on how to win Eye of the Storm. Fifteen wins, no losses, and five shutouts. The closest game was against another premade which ended 2000-467.
Alliance does not tend to do well in my battlegroup when pugging. It's utterly amazing the difference that occurs when you actually have communication and strategy in a battleground, with people actually setting up a plan and then following and executing it.
Great times.

I didn't play a whole lot, I just grabbed my presents and opened them. I was too busy playing Rock Band, which I just got. I probably won't be playing very much for a while, because I am setting up the Xbox 360 Creator's Club tonight, and getting around to working on some good old fashioned console development. I've been reading up on it, and it doesn't seem to be any different than coding C# for PC, which I've been doing for a while. :)

I made a Saintnick toon and ran around handing out gifts in the starter zones on Hellscream. At some point i may even jump over to the horde zones and help the lowbies kill stuff to spread some chear over there :)

I played on my main, an Undead Rogue, for most of the day.
Earlier in the day, I quested with a human priest in Dustwallow Marsh. We communicated through emotes, we threw snowballs at each other, we /cheered for each other when we dinged, and it was great fun. I dinged 40 on that character and got my mount around 8:30 pm ^^ (I've only been playing a couple months).
