On the one hand, I am frustrated by people who flagrantly violate the RP Server rules and sneer at role-players on what is clearly labeled a RP server. I am even more baffled by people who are oblivious to the fact that they ARE on a RP server. On the other hand, the RP community, while outnumbered by the non-roleplayers and the generally oblivious, is strong and supporting, and I have enjoyed my time on Shadow Council very much.As for "bloody ridiculous oversexed elves", I have two observations to make. First, were it not for blood elves, I probably would not be playing WOW at all. Second, I RP with many different races: numerous trolls, several tauren, and until he was killed, my elf's best friend was a Forsaken. And if it were not for Blizzard's bloody ridiculous enforced language barrier, I would RP with humans, dwarves, and gnomes, too (and I *do* RP with them, although not in-game due to the aforementioned obnoxious language barrier). So do not give up on WOW RP. No, Blizzard does not help. No, most of the players on a ROLE PLAYING SERVER will not help, because they are idiots who do not even know what server they are on. But reach out, make yourself available, participate in RP Haven, and you will find people who are happy to RP with you.
