Well done no doubt. However storywise its kinda lackluster. Girl thinks her bf/husband is killed, joins Kael. She works at Botanica, man friend turns out alive.....so she kills him in Winterspring. Cuz she was ordered too? Less drama needed.

I go to wcm all the time and I never saw this before. I don't even remember seeing it in the contest. I'm confused why this wasn't recommended, I would have totally missed it...?

Generally people prefer comedies, I think.
Most of the 'famous' machinima and contest-winners are funny, as they appeal the audience more.
Fewer people want to/are able to appreciate more sombre or serious movies.
Imo anyway.

Awesome. Even without the song, or the violin, the movie was well made and told a saddening story. Great use of existing character animations and WoW lore, too.

Agree completely. When you said "Different factions" I pictured one of them ending up with the scourge or something, like that movie with the troll and the forsaken. I think it was Redshift. Him ending up with the Horde as an adventurer and her ending up in the Botanica was really incredible. This one gets the nod. Fifth? What are the first four?

Amazing... beautiful song, and outstanding movie scenes. Sad that it didn't come in first place, however.

I have to add my voice in with those who don't understand why this only got fifth place. It was really incredible, and I'm generally pretty cynical on the more 'dramatic' ones. But geeze, it was just an amazing twist.
