Yet more free character transfers

Yes, there are more character transfers in the not too distant future: characters will be moving from selected realms free from January 4th to January 11th. If you're currently playing on one of the realms selected to allow transfers off, and you want to make sure you get a transfer, then you may want to consider getting ready as soon as the transfers open: Drysc warns, "In the event that a realm meets our transfer goals before the scheduled end date, the transfers to that realm will be disabled."

So if you're on one of the destination realms, get ready to say hi to some new friends, and if you're planning to transfer, get on it as soon as possible to ensure that you get to where you want to go.

because Paid transfers are big $$$$$$.
They're much more content slowly letting realms die off and/or fill up, because paid transfers are a zero effort $25 profit.
They offer the free xfers only when it becomes a real bad situation for the full realms, in order to allow more people to pay to transfer to the full realms, not necessarily to help the low-pop realms. They word it very nicely to make it seem like they're doing something benevolent, but they're not. They're simply freeing up room on a bigger server that people want to pay money to transfer to. Plain and simple.
If they get 1,000 people to transfer from the full realms to the tiny realm, that's a potential $25,000 for zero effort they can allow in incoming transfers to the otherwise full realms.
My realm had transfers open for free a few weeks ago. It removed the queue, and things were fine... and then a week later they opened up transfers and we're queued again which shows me that they don't really care about the realm population, they just want to free up available transfer slots for more profit.

Come to the sunny beaches of Dentarg!!! Our entire population is so starved for people to raid/pvp with they'll line up in the streets of Shattrath to shine your boots as you enter.
On a more serious note, inspite of the obvious low population the server itself is one of the most stable I've played on personally (out of 5 different servers). So see you on Dentarg.

Is it just me or is this "we can stop transfers at any time without warning" the stupidest possible way to do transfers.
Even if you and a few friends might think about transferring its just ridiculous to try. You might move and leave your friends behind.

5 man groups are virtually non-existant on agamaggan, pvp is non-existant, we have guilds struggling in tk/ssc on horde, 0 on alliance.

I play on Zul'jin (H), I find it funny how everyone is like "WE NEED FREE TRANSFERS OFF ZULJIN!!!" and they just don't say "but....I'm not gonna transfer off!" I would never transfer off, I'm just hoping other people do so the queues wont be so long. But even with the queues it's still worth it

It's about time... Skullcrusher has needed transfers for a LONG time... but I won't be leaving the server. I'm GM and my guild is finally doing well... I'm not going anywhere, ever.
But I agree with #8 it's good for shorter Q's, and it seems like every time I login now I get the "Skullcrusher is full" message with a wait of several minutes. This is especially disheartening when I disconnect due to a bad connection (which is usually bad because of too many people on the server) in the middle of an instance boss fight only to have to WAIT 5 minutes to get back in... to find out my group wiped because I was gone.

I wish I could get a free transfer off bronzebeard here, its got an alliance to horde ratio of about 2:1 guaranteeing all world pvp ends in a deluge of night elf hunters....

I'm pulling for Quel and Dentarg. These worked for Nazjatar and it's horrible pop problems, hopefully you guys will get some benefits.
