US maintenance extended

According to Blizzard's schedule, the realms should have been back online about 20 minutes ago. So it should come as no shock that today's maintenance has been extended for an extra hour. (Or, to be precise, an extra sixty-one minutes. Why the extra minute? We can't say.) This isn't exactly a surprise, as patch deployment usually takes a bit longer than a normal maintenance cycle (and it seemed odd, earlier, that the login screen announced only a normal maintenance window). And to the European players in the audience -- this is what you get to look forward to tomorrow!

Update: Realms appear to be back online as scheduled!

It's extended to 12:01PM because in the past when they said 12:00PM people would flood the forums asking if that was during the day or at night. (And demand to know why maintenance was extended an extra 12+ hours!)

Armory appears to be back online now. Wonder if it is related to this update.

Data still isnt updated for me correctly though, I hit 69 last night and still shows 68.

Yeah work helps get through the downed patch days.

I bet they are applying the next IE7 patch. Sometimes those things take a few reboots.

So it's definitely back up... but anyone else receive their collector's edition pet gift box in the mail? Got excited at the thought of having a Panda and a Zergling... but when you try to click on it, it states that "You've already completed that quest."

Shucks. :)
