Collector's Edition pet confusion in Patch 2.3.2
If you got the original Collector's Edition of WoW (not the Burning Crusade version), then you have a surprise in your mailbox. It's not a good surprise, it's a mistake. All Collector's Edition pet emails were sent out again in error. If you take the gift and click on it to start the quest, you will get the message that you have already completed the quest. So you are not getting a second pet. Nor can you send this to a friend according to Drysc who says, "You can enjoy the epic quest of clicking the delete button on it though?"
This is really just an annoyance that causes no real in-game problems. Have you noticed any other issues with Patch 2.3.2?
[Thanks Tommie!]

Oddly enough, the original pet "quest" item comes already populated in your inventory when you start a character. This item does not arrive in the mail, like the Burning Crusade CE pet. This is really an odd glitch, indeed.

One sweet reward to this is I had transfered a character from my partners account to mine, mine being a CE account this character now has the pet! Sweet Panda Justice! Thanks for the error blizz!

If I remember right, those that bought the super Dell WoW laptop were able to upgrade their accounts to Collector's Edition.
I'd heard the pets for the original Collector's Edition wouldn't be sent to old characters. Only new ones you created AFTER you'd upgraded your account.
Shouldn't this insure that every character on a collector account gets their pet?

Yea where's the boat and zeppelin NPCs as stated in the patch notes at?

As to the other issues, I've had cursor problems since the patch. When I mouseover an npc to get / complete a quest, the cursor disappears rather than changing to the "!" or "?" like it should.
Anyone else seen this?

Slighty off topic but...I recently received the BC Collector's Edition as a gift. Does anyone know if I can upgrade my account so I could get the pet if I originally installed the regular edition of BC?

Just call blizzard tech support - they'll ask you a few questions then upgrade you within the hour and also email you back a working non collector's edition key for TBC.

Yes, you can upgrade to the collector's edition from the regular edition of BC. It should be under account management.

I don't know if it is the normal shenanigans of patch day, but I had horrible latency in towns and Kara last night. Has me worried that the removal of Nagel's Algorithm might be jacking my normally smooth game play. 1555 ms is not good when chasing down Astral Flares on Curator.

i noticed the flightmaster in Hammerfall in Arathi Highlands was UNDER the platform that the Wyverns are on instead of in her usual place right by them.
Sort of odd.

I thought the boat vendors and NPCs were supposed to be back? I took the BB to Ratchet boat as well as the Theramore/Menethil route... no vendors or NPCs. It's a minor thing, but I liked the "flavor" they added.

I quit WoW for a short while and started a character on my wife's account, which had the BC CE but not the original. Then I restarted my account which was done with the original CE and transferred the character over.
With this error, I now have the both CE pets on my main guy. Thanks Bliz!
