You cannot compare blood elf popularity to a DK. firstly one is a race and one is a class, people may choose blood elves as they are cool, or for their own special abilities, they can have a troll mage but reroll blood elf mage for the arcane torrent?, who knows. Rerolling a class does not change your skill level, whereas the deathknight requires you to master it and learn how to use it properly which will most certainly take a while, hence you cannot compare these two.
