Breakfast Topic: Instance hour
I don't know about you, but my guild tends to run its raids and instances during "prime time" server hours, from around 8PM to midnight. But then there are a dedicated group of night owls who stay up for the "late night" instance run after any officially scheduled runs, sneaking in one last instance somewhere between 1 and 2 in the morning. (And I have to say, sometimes these casual groups, filled with players half-asleep or perhaps a bit tipsy, are sometimes the most fun to be in.) So this morning I ask you: when's your instance hour? What time of day do you always manage to get your circle of friends online and hitting up the instances you all need?

I don't really have one. My work schedule is too unpredictable to set an hour (or even a general time) when I can get on and do some runs. That's why I can't raid.
Although, in my earlier years I raided from eight at night to about four in the morning. We'd do a full MC clear, then the "too damn late" ZG crew would get together and do our thing.
Oh god it was great times. Stupid work.

I raid during the prime time on my servers or im farming prime time so my instance hours tend to be from 12-3 or 4 in the morning, and i get in 2-4 heroics in this time depending on the group. And i have 2 set up groups for this time, as well as a full enough friends list to pug almost anything during prime time

Before I started working days, I would be on from 8pm - 12 am raiding, then from 12 - 5,6ish sometimes running 5 mans. It paid off in the end, cuz once I switched servers, its almost impossible to find a group other than guild runs, and now that I'm working days, my playtime has severely went down.

I normally instance in the early hours. I find those runs are normally the most entertaining due to the type of people in the group. It always feels much more relaxed than the daytime runs, perhaps because we're all so tired!

I only run instances when my guildie friends are on, which is quite a lot of the time, so it can vary depending on my schedule. If I have to PUG (or just choose a time for this comment) it'd be around 10pm. Still peak-ish, so I won't have to worry about not finding a group that much.

I usually run PuGs at around 9:30, til we finish or until 12. Because I'm still leveling, I don't do setup groups, but I always check with guildies to get a partial or even full group together when I PuG.

well for my guild we always end up doing all the instance we need after 1 or 2 am cuz every1 is too lazy to step up before doing all the daylies or a couple of quest that might be usefull in some way to the player. thats whit the exeption of all the schedule raid that normaly start at 10 or 11pm for 2 or 3 hr and after we keep a couple of guys to do some heroics cuz we are fired up already ( and after having Kara in farming more already and working on the time event for ZA ) and in need of more challange. but normaly my in my guild we are all noght owls (well im a balance druid so u now what i mean) ur gonna see the most of ppl on after 11pm i mean like 60% of the guild at that time

Being in Australia, prime raiding and instance time is smack bank in the middle of honour rollover. Last night was great, one of the cleanest and smoothest Aran takedowns ever, screwed over by honour rollover. What can you do when everyone but the NPC suffers terrible lag? >:(

7pm to 10pm. All of us have day jobs so going onto a late session on a worknight would make us very unpopular with our bosses.

I normally do runs between 10-2am; only prob I find with them on our low pop server is that if someone drops out then it's hard finding a replacement player to fill the gap. Otherwise while the party are running it tends to be very tight and we make very little mistakes.

Since most of our guild are on the East Coast or in the midwest, we raid during off-prime times (6-9 server time). I rely on either afternoons or late nights to hang out with my guild and do instances. A number of us are members of the Late Night Crew (members in my guild who live on the West Coast or are up late at night). The one notable exception is my hunter's Karazhan raid: we start after my priest's weekly SSC raid and run full throttle until we either clear the entire instance or members are falling into sleep-deprived and alchohol induced stuppor. As one of the few members of that raid that doesn't drink during raids, I find it humorous to watch the raid's performance fluctuate each week and laugh at the tank as he tries to make witty comments on Vent or his wife the boomkin forget how to type coherently.

AV and beer were meant for each other. I only fell out of Tower Point... twice. Somebody else had to cap that one. :D
