WoW Moviewatch: Damaged Dreams
Damaged Dreams was completed in October 2007, and it's not as polished as Arithmomania, but I'm not sure that it was meant to be. The song is edgy and you can feel the beats in each lightning-fast cut that he makes. An interesting tidbit is that he filmed it all in Burning Crusade, without the help of the model or map viewers. There are too many favorite scenes to list here, so you'll have to watch for yourself. If you enjoyed it, check out the high-resolution version!

While, I can't say the song is great his editing DEFINITELY is. The way the video bumped with the beat was really good. I liked his use of split screens for "killing, killed, looted". If I could digg it I would for the AQ40 and MC videos, that stuff brings back some good memories. "LOOT DA DOGGIE!"

It's technically interesting, but as a music video I think it has a number of significant failings.
To establish and keep a viewer's interest there needs to be a level of interest generated by the combination of the visuals and the music. If the music is mostly background or somewhat dull the visuals need to compensate, and vice versa.
The music in this video takes too long to ramp up, putting the burden on the visuals for over a minute. Even after that, the "payoff" isn't notable. The music isn't significantly more interesting, nor are the visuals.
It isn't until halfway through the video that it find its legs. It's a great watch after that point, but getting there takes effort.
Maybe I'm just an armchair critic, but that's my opinion.
