Patch 2.3.3 glitches
With the advent of Patch 2.3.3 yesterday, there have been reports of unusual behavior. A few people in my guild say that while the load times might be shorter, when they do log in, everyone is naked. I DC'd twice last night standing in Shatt (which never happens), and the World Server took a dirt nap for a bit. Sadly for one rogue I know, the WS went down exactly as she was swapping gear for a BG, effectively destroying her Belt of One-Hundred Deaths. GM ticket? She has it!
Over on WoW Ladies, a few players have reported that after downloading the patch yesterday afternoon, they couldn't play WoW at all. Either they couldn't connect or would get fatal errors. After contacting Blizz customer service, they were instructed to reinstall the entire game. Since then a hotfix has been issued that seems to have corrected the problem.
Did you experience any patch bugs or has it been smooth sailing?

Our Kara server went down for about 45 minutes last night right after we killed Midnight. We all got kicked back out to the character screen, and on trying to load, waited several minutes with the loading bar at full, then got "No instance servers available" errors. They got it back up and running for us, although the delay meant we have to go back tonight to finish the run.

I kept on getting very bad lag followed, occasionally, by disconnects. I DCed once on the last submerge or Lurker and then DCed a bunch of times on the murloc packs before Tidewalker. It was pretty annoying. It wasn't my internet connection because my Vent was working fine. :\

There is a HUGE thread about this issue on the tech support forums - looks like hundreds of people reporting this same issue - seemed to start with 2.3.2 and wasn't fixed with 2.3.3 - they changed the latency formula in 2.3.2, and it has screwed me up to no end since, but this patch made it worse - lag every four or five minutes, random dcs - ridiculous.

I patched up my WoW client last night. I didn't have any trouble with it because I felt like playing KOTOR instead.

It took a long time for my mail to load. Sold a bunch of things on the auction house and had totally blank letters waiting for me in my inbox. I could get my gold, but the unsold ones had "no attachments" for a few minutes until they finally loaded.

Not tried it myself but my girlfriend tried installing the patch and it seemed to corrupt some of the game files. She's now downloading the big roll-up patch; if that fails, it'll be a re-install :( .

Don't forget to try the Repair utility in the Warcraft folder.

this is why i never play the day of or after a patch installation. its always too buggie, i never get to enjoy the game time (the few precious seconds of it before a realm restart), nor can i accomplish any of my dailies or simple quests (is the npc here or are they invisible time???)
tuesdays are college assignment days for me ^_~ id rather read and do homework then get infuritiated and be unable to do anythign cause im still pining over the game.

Silvermoon world server was down for a bit, logged onto alt on Aggramar and no problem getting on at all. Silvermoon came back up after about 30 minutes or so.

I don't know if this is a 2.3.3 patch bug or not. But if it already existed, then 2.3.3 didn't fix it. So it's just as bad in my opinion.
I went to AB several times last night. One time, we got there and were buffing up while waiting for the gate to open up. Next thing we know we start seeing the Horde capping the flags. I guess all 15 of them were right at our gate and started beating on us as soon as our gate opened up. Needless to say we never made it out of our starting zone and the match was over in 3 minutes (including the 1 minute we had to wait).
Now, even if you're Horde and hate Alliance, you have to admit this is in no way fair.
Yes, I opened a ticket but after a few hours without a GM replying I had to log off. I got a generic email this morning telling me thanks for the ticket or whatever.

Old bug I'm afraid.

Blizzard loves the Horde....
"FOR THE HORDE!!!"

Well, for me in EU the patch went smooth. So far, at least.

I finally got to kill Felspine the Greater, rather than wasting bullets on him only to see "Evade" pop up over his head.
For that, I'm happy with the patch.

Our World Server crashed briefly, BGs crashed a couple times and the mail was unresponsive. But SSC worked just fine for us, had some bizarre mob behavior (abnormal pathing, things like that) nothing huge.

I submitted a ticket for a questgiver issue in Blades Edge about 11pm Monday. Tuesday night I log in, and the ticket is gone for that char - but I have a Collectors Edition pet email in my mailbox. I didn't buy the collectors edition..
*shrug* I lost 3 quests in a questline but gained a mini-diablo pet..
Fair enough.. =)
