More fun and games in Kara
Something about Karazhan seems designed for player-created minigames. First, we had Soul Society's game of musical chairs in Moroes' room. Then my guild started betting on who Little Red Riding Hood would be in the opera. Now, a dwarf priest has come up with a new way to pass the time in Kara: BINGO!
Sadly, I've seen most of these -- especially "Screw it, let's eight-man this" and "A brb with zero explanation takes 30+ minutes." Then again, I raid with a lot of stoners. I've also committed some faux pas myself -- particularly breaking shackles and running in the wrong entrance and requiring summons.
Do you think your raid could win a game of Kara bingo? What mistakes do you see people making over and over again in instances?
Thanks to Emily for the tip!

That was great!
Unfortunately for my guild, we have managed to pull Spell shades from miles away almost every single time we go to kara. And some of those squares are almost guaranteed to be filled (read: enchant recipe and shaman loot dropping).

Holy Crap, we got two bingos in one night this week!

Lol I love it, seen a lot of those :-D The shaman loot one especially... we never have a shaman but always have loads of their loot drop!

My only issue is the one spot that reads "People SHow up flagged for PvP" being that I am on a pvp server and karazhan counts as a contested zone means that that spot will always be filled.

Sad... I believe my guild has done all of those. I went through and mentally marked them all.

If the raid has run most of a raid without wipes, isn't it possible for the tank to have red armor after the first one, even if he came in with 100% durability?

Someone fell asleep in one of our kara run. At least that's what he said. We continued clearing trash until the boss and then we found a replacement. Sleepy head came back later and was mad because he lost his spot.
Whatever.

My guild has definitely done it's share of drinking games...
Example: Drink every time you wipe/die.
One of our guild pallies actually IMPROVES in his healing the more shots that he's had...
And if you're drunk, who cares if you wipe?

If you get to the point of where your T5 Warrior/Prot pally/Bear tank can't hold aggro on a farmed boss because they're too drunk to push they keys you know it's time to call it a night.
One guy I know is in a guild who has Black Temple on farm. He said they wiped on Illidan for three hours. They played the game of depending on which role died first depended on how many shots you took. The example he gave me was if a tank or healer died first everyone had to take three shots. If a melee DPSer died two shots if a ranged died it was one shot.
*thinks* I may ask my guild to try that one in the next raid.. hehe
(Only time they didn't do that was on learning nights)

last time in kara, the MT whispered me (healer) if I minded marking the trash mobs, because he couldn't really focus anymore, and kept marking them wrong etc
good times :D
Bloodthorn Jan 29th 2008 5:36AM
but then I died a few times too, because I kept forgetting I was healer, not tank, so I kept rushing ahead into new rooms, pulling aggro for mysterious reasons :p

Unfortunately, I've seen almost every one of these too. I"ve been in Kara way to long.

Our guild is 4 bosses into BT and we run kara to gear alts but one of the prot pallies in the guild that has pretty loots wants to try kara with only one healer except for curator and prince....im all down for that cuz i can go ret all night till those 2 fights lol!

We now run "drunk kara" on the weekends for the badges. It's a surefire 3.5 hour clear, even wasted. We do shots for every boss that dies, every raid member/raid pet that dies, and shots for the sheer hell of doing shots. If you can see your screen, you're doing well. We also have a habit of having our VERY questionable vent chatter spilling over into /gchat...the guild just rolls with it though, lol. They are used to the fact that the GM, the RLs, and many of the Officers are in the run, and will be pretty torn up by the time we finish.
I just posted the BINGO chart though, and told them we were adding THAT in as well to the drunk kara runs...I'll be sure to see how we do.

My guild isn't to Kara yet, but I read that card and said, "Just change a word or two and it fits for any raid or instance." I know people who show up for a raid and THEN ask where the reagent vendor is, even though you've told them before they arrive 1) they need to be well stocked and 2) where the vendor is.
Theserene Jan 29th 2008 1:48PM
We have had the DPSer who did less damage than the tank...not a nice moment to point that out to them...
