Kazzak and Doomwalker go BoE, 25man raids get more set pieces per drop
The European forums see some 2.4 news dropping, as we find out that Doom Lord Kazzak and Doomwalker will see their drops go from BoP to BoE, 25 man raid content will see their token drops increase by one to three tokens per token dropping boss, gems from Heroics will no longer be unique, and reputation with the Scale of the Sands will now be greatly increased.Meanwhile, Drysc returns again with news that the looting UI system is undergoing some changes, especially involving BoP items. If only you can loot it, you won't be asked if you want to anymore, and you'll see the name of the item in the confirmation window from now on.
In addition to news about enchanting, PvP honor and spell haste dropping today, it looks very likely that patch 2.4 is due sooner rather than later. Of course, it's also possible that they're doing all this to confuse and bewilder us.

Hello auction house
I think the Kazzak/Doomwalker change is great as it gives some raiders the ability to make some easy money, as well as widening the ability of the casual class to get some much needed gear.
As for the tokens, that's good to hear. Seems like a strong indicator that 2.4 will in fact come soon.
The link provided by the article concerning reputation seems a bit unnecessary to me. Or perhaps I just missed something

25-man bosses already drop 2 set tokens, now they'll drop 3. Nub.

Aww, always love an increase in rep.

Well now we're going to see all those guilds that didn't need the gear farming that boss for easy money when it's up, leaving the guild that did want that gear fighting for a chance to get to it first.
I really dislike this change. Though easier rep and more badges is nice.

What rep increase? All your link goes to is the Scale of Sands WOWHead link. As much as I'd like to be working SoS rep, I doubt I'll have even 1 rep point with them before the xpac drops.
Of course they'd do a rep increase after I've gotten my rep with all the major Outland factions to around 10,000/21,000 to exalted. Blizzard!!!!

http://forums.wow-europe.com/thread.html?topicId=2405447683&postId=24049039632&sid=1#0 contains the original information about Scale of the Sands rep increases, along with everything else commented upon in this article. As it was the first link in the post I assumed it would be read first.

Scale of the Sands is to Hyjal what The Violet Eye is to Karazhan. Most of the trash mobs and the bosses give rep when you kill them, and you get an upgrading ring like in Kara. I assume they're just increasing the amount of rep you get per trash mob etc.
Yay at the boss tokens!

Ok...so increased tokens. I would like to assume that means for tier set items. Or was it meant to mean badges?

one more token off of 25-man content is certainly good news. I always though it was crazy that it takes 25 players to drop Gruul, and only 3 of those players could get loot.
(in other words 12% of the players get loot, as opposed to, for example 10 people dropping Prince and 2 items drop, so 20% of the players get loot)
4 players is still a small increase, to 16%, but it's a start.

The gem thing is nice, but I don't find myself using too many of those gems anyway since they're all split-stat gems... but it might be much more effective to stack a lot of heroic gems instead of crafted ones. (and in return it might dunk the price of crafted gems into the ground which would be a win).
I hope the big unannounced thing is a change with primal nethers (and maybe nether vortex) that they're going to remove the BOP from them and allow them to be rolled on by everyone as a commodity rather than something that just people who have the 4 crafting classes feel they deserve. On one hand, this is good since it'll mean that a lot of the stuff you can make with them will be cheaper.... it'll be bad beause I can get anywhere from 150-200g off a primal nether making epic spellthreads and listing them on a Tuesday depending on how cheap I can get the primal mana. It's gone a long way towards buying an epic flyer for an alt and I'll be sad to see it go. Right now it's pretty easy to get at least a few nethers a week with badges and winning the roll for it. It'll be a lot harder, but a lot more fair if they do it.

I agree with #4, I think the Kazzak/Doomwalker change is a bad idea. Instead of letting guilds that need the loot have a better chance at it by changing how frequently they spawn, they've instead given higher-end guilds reason to go back to dominating the spawns for money.
BillDoor Feb 1st 2008 4:25PM
... and then the low end guild can just buy the item they need on the AH? If anything, this helps the low end guild gear up more quickly.

Sweet! I'm going to spend the rest of my life in mana tombs, farming Glistening Fire Opals

Another sign that WotLK is coming soon. I believe Blizzard wants people to finish burning crusade in a hurry. Look at the changes made in 2.3 that help you get to 60 in a hurry.
More XP per mob, More XP per quest, greens drop more often, lower level loot drops more. More of everything to get you to BC. But wait it gets even better. Now everyone can do heroics.
Now Blizzard is ramping everyone up for WotLK.

Exactly my thoughts when I read this article. I wouldn't be surprised if we see 2.4 within a month, and WotLK beta keys start going out in the May-June timeframe (coinciding with summer break, doncha know!)

Great. Now FLK will drop 3 Leggings of the Vanquished Defender instead of its usual two. (FLK has been overly generous with his double defender drops lately.)
I kind of like the idea of BOE epic drops off the world bosses. Would encourage my guild to actually kill them more often. And added gold is always welcome.
Now if they'd just have the SSC and Eye mobs give you CE and Shattar rep for those of us who don't have the time to run normal or heroic instances too often but still want our free flasks and access to the repair guy outside SSC, that'd make me a happy person.

Great. Now the top guilds on my server are going to just farm them when they're up, not letting any other guild get them. Its going to be a PvP raid fest that ends with everyone hating themselves on my server.
