Yeah, I was hacked near the end of last year. My graphics card had just fried, so I spent about a week ordering and upgrading parts only to log in and find myself looking at a lvl 1 orc in Ratchet who I diffidently did not make. Panic started to set in at that point and I switched to my main. They left my armor, my bags, my bank, and my pet alone. They'd bought lower level arrows though, so had been playing my character and using my pet at some point during the week. They'd also taken almost 3000g that I'd been saving for my epic flyer and left me with 114g. It was very odd.Needless to say, I promptly filed a report with Bliz and changed my password (had just installed a new hard drive, but virus scanned it anyway). I was leaving on holiday for a couple weeks a few days after that and was worried that I wouldn't get my money restored. Luckily I got a response back the morning I was leaving and Bliz confirmed I had been hacked and mailed my money to me (but then, that might have been because I made sure to politely mention that I was hoping to get my epic for my main on this realm by my 3 year WoW anniversary a few weeks later). All the same, it meant I could actually enjoy my vacation. I'm very careful about maintaining my computer. I run scans from 4 good programs every night and am careful about what I download. Nobody knows my password and I never use WoW on any other computer except another desktop that's on the same network and which I maintain in the same manner. My user name and password are unique from anything else I use. I can't for the life of me figure out how they got my code. All I can say is praise be to the Ancestors that Bliz believed me and could confirm my story.Really, it was very weird though. Has anyone else been hacked and had your inventory and armor left behind? And actual gold too. Barely enough to buy food for my pet and I but still. They didn't touch any alts on that realm or any characters on other realms either. The only thing I could make of that was it made me look like I was lying and trying to cheat Bliz so they wouldn't replace my gold. How could someone really fall low enough to do such a thing. :(
