I got hacked in November. I attribute it to a patch that rendered some of my addons useless. Then I upgraded my addons. That night BAM..booted 3-4 times (thought it was server issues). Hell no, it was hacker Bob logging in to my computer. I went to bed after giving up at 0200. Woke up and had 2 e-mails indicating that 1: my ttransfer request wwas pending and 2: my transfer request had been paid and approved. Since it was Saturday morning and Blizz live support takes off on the weekends so they also can play on the busiest gaming days of the week, I created a temp acct, contacted my guild mates, and started a ticket. Recovered most things, including my missing 709 holy Pally, then I received a nastygram from Blizz indicating that the card that the hacker used for the character transfer was bogus and I owed them a money order to reactivate my account. What a pain in the @ss. Needless to say, I found a trojan horse/keylogger that had piggybacked on an addon. I only use Curse.Com now and only after a session so I can scan my computer before I log on again. I also scan daily now instead of weekly.
