@34 - Adam R:I'm not taking it further than Mike is doing. I quote the Mighty Schramm: "If [your level is] anything below a seven, you are not prepared. Don't go in there."How is me replacing "If [your level is] below a seven" with any of the follow phrasing being dramatic?"If your gear is not enchanted""If you do not have blue-quality gems""If you are hybrid-specced""If you are a clicker""If you are a keyboard turner""If you have green quest gear""If your arena rating is below 1400"Because all of the above make you more qualified to play well. A mage in full epics is going to do better than a mage in mismatched quest greens. A rogue in full S3 gear is going to do better than a rogue in various dungeon/raid drops. Someone who has mastered mouse turning will do better than a keyboard turner.I used to PvP a lot. The "hardcore" pvpers are a big part of the reason why I stopped. I'm glad I haven't gone back.

The difference is degree. -6 levels offer a bigger edge and takes very little time. -Enchanting gear offers a much smaller edge and takes a lot of timeI don't think going into a battleground at x1 shouldn't be allowed. I just think it's really selfish. It's not like you'll never get there. Nothing is stopping you from going and getting another 8 levels. It takes very little time, it requires no skill (every method of playing the game will gain levels), and it's obvious to your team mates that you're a weak link.I don't care if you're clicking, randomly chose your talents and have a hard time remembering what to click. I've never met anyone that was actively confused that higher levels > lower levels. You *could* be genuinely confused that brackets are 10 levels and when are where they stop. The key is that it's obvious to me that you're trying to help the team if you're x9. I can hover over your character and see a deficiency with your contribution if you're x1. *That* is the difference.Getting an upgrade from blue to purple could take several instance runs with no guarentee. Getting from 31-36 is a cinch. The obvious response is: why are the people who are going into battlegrounds at x1 selfish and not the author's opinion? From my personal perspective, he's trying harder to help his team win. He doesn't diminish the x1's fun. The reverse is not true.I do have to comment, though, that healing and communicating are fairly level independent. Then again, x9 healers and communicators are better than their x1 counterparts, so why not wait 8 levels?

Fighting with a level ending in 9 does not intrinsically mean they're trying to help your team. All it means is that they recognize an obvious advantage.I've seen whole groups of level x9s completely failing to do anything worthwhile. I've seen twinks chasing down a lone lowbie player while the enemy FC runs happily toward victory. If there's one factor that gives the greatest edge, it's intelligence/skill. Sadly, it's also the hardest to level up.I'm all for letting people know that it's easier to do BGs at level x9, but in no way to I begrudge them to come if they're a team player and know what they're doing.
