Breakfast Topic: Who's got the most HKs?
Everyone knows you can see your total lifetime Honorable Kills on your Armory profile. Most people know this number only shows up if you have at least 1,337 HKs (ha). But does anyone know who has the highest ever number of HKs? This simple question was the topic of Drifter's (US-Runetotem-H) thread on the forums; so far, the biggest anyone's found is 341,462, on a druid named Kuroma from US-Daggerspine-A. Can anyone beat that? Armory links or it didn't happen.
Update: We have a new champion already! Theplague, of EU-Frostmane H, with 411,701. Anyone want to step up to that?
Update 2: Fartzwrgoben (does that name mean anything?) of EU-Perenolda-A, a subtlety Rogue, handily tops that with an astonishing 560,878!

He has been on Dragonmaw since release, and he was always in AV. There were gazillion threads on our realmforum about Theplague, the facemelter, and who would win, Chuck Norris or Theplague.. etcetc. He has been playing since god knows when, and when TBC hit, he migrated and raided BT on Frostmane, now he's back on dmaw, pvp'ing again in full T6 :) He doesn't like arena so much though.

His/Her gear is pretty impressive too. While racking up over 400,000 HKs, also has time for Tier 6 raid progression. Very nice.

You are both wrong, and the conclusion is oh so worse.
He doesn't only BG.
He raids.

Bind that macro to an auto-fire button and run around in the BG's. Defending in AV, I can get 200-300 kills/game with that one, if HK's had any worth in it. But since HK's says nothing about how good you are, only how much you've running around in the rumble, why bother?
Raaj Feb 7th 2008 1:07PM
Then what DOES say how good you are? Your gear? You can be carried through every raid, just look at the few guilds that sell spots for gold. Your arena rating? This is also a hot commodity. Everything you do in this game is easily faked, minus making videos of your skill perhaps.

It kills me how every time somone has something better than, has more of, or does something better than them they have to insult the person saying they have no life. Yet they're reading wow insider just like us, playing wow just like us.
Smurk Feb 7th 2008 1:27PM
Well, not "just like us."
Like, that guy who got exalted with every faction? Yeah, I'm definitely gonna make fun of someone like that.
Not because you play the game, but because you play it for more than 50% of your waking hours. For over 3 years.
ThorinII Feb 7th 2008 1:12PM
It's obvious this person has been playing a LONG time. Who says they have a ton of alts out there. Maybe they lvl'd one or two toons and every hour of play has been spent lvl'ing, BG'ing, or raiding with only one or two toons.
Gee, it doesn't sound that impossible or pathetic now. But, somehow just as impressive!

As a side note (despite that i dont much care for the guy) Kuroma on Daggerspine US - A. Held Grand marshall for an entire year ( http://www.wowwiki.com/Server:Daggerspine_US ). As far as i know thats no one else has ever done that.
Rudolphe Feb 7th 2008 4:54PM
Well smurk, that's a different story. But it seems like some people like to hate on everyone who accomplishes something they can't do.

It's not my character...
mattarin Feb 7th 2008 9:54PM
i think if you have over a 100,000 HK's you are a loser and you have abanonded your friends and family. i have been playing for almost 10 months and i only have around 4,000 and i love bg's.

Yes, and kudos to you for sounding like a judgemental meanieface. I mean, give me a break. The game is designed to be enjoyed in many, many ways which has to do with its success. Plenty of the GM/HWLs on my server held down jobs and kept their marriages together just fine, and have several hundred thousand HKs as well. The two are not mutally exclusive, any more than endgame raiding or high arena raitings are. Give me a break.
If it's not how you enjoy the game, that doesn't give you an excuse to rip into the other person just because they differ. Sheesh.

One thing to remember is that before the change in how Honor works, people who wanted to get the Grand Marshall or whatever the top title was in PVP pretty much had to do constant PVP in BGs to get there. I know several people IRL who literally had multiple people playing the same toon so their toon was literally doing PVP 18-20 hours per day to try to get to the top rank.
