PTR copy enabled, Rocket Boots changed

Update: Tigole is now saying 2.4 will be on the PTR "very soon."MMO-Champion reports that yesterday the PTR Character Copy functionality was switched on, potentially implying that a patch 2.4 PTR is imminent. Or it could be nothing. Either way, might as well copy a toon or two over: US link, EU link. I got a "server busy" error, but hopefully that'll go away sooner or later. This is the same patch that Blizzard hoped was going to get to PTR by the end of 2007, though, so I wouldn't necessarily hold your breath.
One more piece of 2.4 news: Rocket Boots Extreme are having their stamina bonus removed, which will make them somewhat less valuable in PvP. Also, a new cloth version called Xtreme Light Rocket Boots (?) will appear with the following stats:
Bind on Equip
Cloth - 196 Armor
Engineering (330) required
Equip: increases damage and healing by up to 35
Use: Engage the rocket boots to greatly increase your speed. You probably won't be still standing when you get there though... (5 Min Cooldown)
Update 2: The boots will now also cause the wearer to drop a WSG, Zangarmarsh, or EotS flag, if they're holding one.

Both pair of boots will oblige the player to drop any PvP flag (Warsong, Eye of the Storm, and Zangarmarsh).
Damages inflicted at the end of the speed increase won't be increased and will stay at 250.

The patch is a buff for Mages, Priests, and Warlocks considering we couldn't wear them prior.

I would think swift boots should still be ok since the speed increase is only 40%. The Rocket Boots Xtreme have a 300% speed increase so I assume that was the problem.

The stats on the rocket boots extreme are already awful compared to most level 70 blue boots, and now they're nerfing them more? AND they make you drop the flag? Double you tee eff. Thank you Blizzard. That's just what engineering needs. Now, for certain, the only reason to take up engineering is the epic helms. I wonder when they'll get the nerf bat too.

I hate to be that guy---really, I do---but the word you were looking for was "imminent." I wouldn't even bother correcting if "immanent" didn't mean something completely different, and MUCH MORE AWESOME, though I doubt it's true.

Though it might be argued that a 2.4 PTR does, in fact, reside somewhere deep within Blizzard...but that's not what I meant :)

Thank you for nerfing my chosen profession even further, just take out the rocket launcher then the PvP utility profession is useless. Thanks.

on the up side as a warlock i get my rocket boots on the down side they only have one use now getting away from monsters and fun Boo blizzered i may have wanted the boots before but the drop PVP thing ruined the best of all engineering boots
