Patch 2.4 known issues

More 2.4 news for all of you to consume.Our friendly master of the PTR forums, Hortus, has posted a list of known issues on the PTR. I'm sure the list will grow longer, but in brief here are some major points:
- Watch out for corruption of your World of Warcraft files if you use a Mac! This is a major issue for some people. Indeed yours truly would have been up the creek if I used my Mac's firewall feature (I've got a Linux firewall instead). All you Mac users: please, be careful!
- When you rename a Hunter pet you get disconnected.
- The Hunter ability Auto Shot can get locked out if you use an instant ability after Steady Shot.
- Looting Bind on Pickup items isn't working right. So watch out if you're starting to raid.
- Shattrath wasn't copied over correctly. Many NPCs (besides those listed in the blue post) are missing.

The mage disconnected before all of Shattrath got through the portal?

The hunter autoshot issue is actually a current issue. I have been suffering from it off and on since january. Logging out and back in seems to fix it until you trigger it again.

Definitely a current issue. I have this problem with my hunter on a regular server. Sometimes when I use Kill Command right after Steady Shot, both Auto-Shot and the ESC key stop working and the Kill Command button becomes stucked. It's solved by either logging out or using Kill Command again on a mob.

The thread says the corruption is occuring when someone has OS X 10.5 Leopard installed. So people who still have 10.3 or 10.4 (like me) should not be affected ;)
Also you should probably mention that the corruption occurs when you approve it to pass through the firewall .
Please correct the two issues above
PS They dont really specify which World of Warcraft Application gets corrupted ...The WOW Test one or the main one ?

So, if one were to want to avoid corrupted files when updating to 2.4 on a Mac how would one do so?

It happens only to those with 10.5 installed
My suggestion would be to wait until they send another build to the PTR. That and ask around which WOW app gets corrupted - live or PTR ? See if it's just the PTR wow app that gets corrupted you can just download it , wait for it to corrupt then wait for a build where the corruption does not happen

I think this might be happening in the live realms too.

Last night when I tried the test server I went to look at the video settings, but after clicking Cancel on the window my whole computer just locked up tight.

IM a BM and seem to have an issue with my pets focus or there lack of since the patch. Any haveing issues?
