It's good for threat gen, but I don't really need defense on a meta gem. I'm at 500 defense in my tanking gear already, and that's swapping out defense items for stam items. I don't know that I want to lose 18 stam for defense.

I'll definitely use it for a threat set, though.

I would say exactly that - it's golden for a threat set that might otherwise be Defense starved as is. That much defense means I can convert two defense gems to two hit gems. Delicious.
