WoW $10 at Circuit City
If you happen to need a copy of our favorite game, perhaps to get started multiboxing, here's a pretty cheap deal from Circuit City: order a copy of the original game online for in-store pickup, pay $10. The game is usually $20. On the other hand, picking up a copy of Burning Crusade to go with it, which one would generally want to do, will run you $30, whether you do it the physical way or as a download. And the Battle Chest is $40. So this is only a good deal if you for some reason need WoW without BC. Anyway, those of you who do need it, get to it.Filed under: Tips

Hmm... maybe there's some way to get several and use the included month's subscription for $10, instead of $15.. (or $12 if you pay for several months at a time...)

It's too bad that there's no longer a reason to have WoW without BC. I mean, honestly, there should be some expansion-free servers where the level cap is hard locked at 60, players can't pass through the dark portal, and blood elves/blueberries don't exist. I'd level up a character there just so I could enjoy the pre-BC content with actual level 60's, instead of just seeing it with groups of 70s, like it's a guided tour or a museum trip.

I just purchased this for my girlfriend. She has been playing from time to time because (and I quote), "We need to spend more time together and this will be a good start." For $10, this is amazing!
There is a reason why people do not need the Burning Crusade is because people, like my girlfriend, will not play 15 hours a week. It will take her months to get to 60. This is a marketing tactic by Blizzard (which, btw, LOTR-O has already done) which gets significant others, friends, or family into the game at a cheap starting price. By the time these people make it to 60, Wrath will be out and BC's price will plummet. Thus, making it very affordable.

You can get World of Warcraft DVDs at EBGames for $1.99. It's how I installed BC as I'd lost the original WoW disks.

Here is an idea on how to get yourself a free 1 month play on your main account. Here is what you need to do,
1). Buy a new copy of warcraft from CC for $10.
2). Refer yourself to the game using your main account and apply the new activation code on the new account
3) Blizzard will give you one month free play time for getting a new member.
Essentially you will net a saving $5.00 on your next month's bill. I know it is hard work for $5.00 but hey... With gas price the way it is right now every bit helps.

Nice plan, but I believe you don't get your free month for a referral until the account that you refer pays for a month.
