Breakfast Topic: Gnome noses are red, Draenei are blue...

Happy Valentine's Day! Even in WoW, love is in the air. The heart of this unexplained in-game phenomenon is a popularity contest between the faction leaders. Players can vote for their choice by turning in a Horde or Alliance Gift Collection near their favorite leader. The winner of the contest gets the pleasure of having Kwee Q. Peddlefeet around for a week of hit point buffs for anyone audacious enough to /kiss him.
Many of us will be forgoing our Azeroth adventures in favor of spending time with the objects of our affections. Some couples will share special in-game moments with their significant others. May I suggest a Bouquet of Red Roses and some Delicious Chocolate Cake for your sweetheart? We would love to hear your stories of love and romance in WoW.

Laughing at all the silly people who have tried to be romantic when it is the most grey and depressing day of the month so far :D
Also raiding
Ravenswing Feb 14th 2008 8:17AM
For various reasons, I decided to largely not bother with the romantic crap this year (and I mean pretty much all of the year), and owing to the fact that I have a tremendous fatigue headache and there's a chance I may fall asleep driving home anyway, I doubt I'll be doing much tonight other than falling asleep on the couch.
Sad, but true. :(
Extremitus Feb 14th 2008 8:26AM
Going to see a 40 man country/folk choir with my buddies since my good lady is working!
Algorithm Feb 14th 2008 9:38AM
Is it bad that I had to reread that since you used the term "40 man" outside of WoW related things?
Extremitus Feb 14th 2008 9:40AM
Hahaha it looked weird when I wrote it too :P
ThorinII Feb 14th 2008 8:27AM
Not that my wife and I do a lot for valentines anyway, but she's working tonight, so I'll be playing WoW.
Josef Feb 14th 2008 8:29AM
to ravenswing, nothing wrong with that, the fact that this day was originally supposed to be an eqivalent of a wife swap amongst roman soldiers in gaul and britain and that the romantic stuff was added on later may help you feel better :)
Plus your not spending money on romance, which cane be better spent on alchol :)
Vestras Feb 14th 2008 8:38AM
Workin a bit late, then some chow with my fellow bachelors, then prolly grind on my elemental shaman til I can't feel feelings anymore ;)
Khanmora Feb 14th 2008 8:48AM
My husband has class tonight so I'll be raiding.
Malyfactian Feb 14th 2008 9:11AM
Wife and I will be having a nice quiet dinner at home. I'll probably play WoW for a couple hours after she goes to sleep tonight.
arcgore Feb 14th 2008 9:24AM
I will be raiding, working on SSC with my guild 3/5 in there and tying for #4 Fathom-Lord tonight. V-day is just another day to me.
potatowedge Feb 15th 2008 9:53AM
Lunch with the boy, including some (real) delicious chocolate (Portal-themed) cake. Then ... WSG, as the boy's got class. Gah!
Sthis Feb 14th 2008 9:44AM
My husband really hates corporate holidays, so we don't do anything for Valentine's day. Thats not to say he never does anything for me though, he's always getting me random "just because" presents or cards, so I wouldn't change him for anything!
So what will we be doing for Valentine's day? Playing WoW of course!
Mirina Feb 14th 2008 9:58AM
We canceled guild raiding today due to the number of married people in our guild--but my husband and I will probably be in game later working on alts together or something after we have a nice dinner :)
Sanol Feb 14th 2008 10:00AM
I'll probably be spending most of the day working on school stuff and afterwards some WoW. Not that I really care about this V-day. Just another way to make money to be honest.
Cap Feb 14th 2008 10:29AM
I'm playing WoW tonight, but only because my wife will be in class for 3 hours tonight. Savin' the good stuff for the weekend! ;-)
Tom Feb 14th 2008 10:36AM
In Roman days they used to slaughter goats. Maybe I'll go grind talbuks in Nagrand :)
