Mostly disagree. Someone downing a big boss on the PTR should count as a world first ... it's the first time that mob has been killed, and all the strategies have to be learned on the fly. By the time those mobs get to the live realms there's a very good chance their patterns and abilities have already been learned and shared from the PTR, making the achievement of downing them less in my opinion.
People downing a boss on the PTR are doing it from scratch, with no known strategies. They deserve the credit.

I'd put more faith in PTR "firsts" (bosses are often balanced after players encounter them on live realms) if it weren't for the borked character copy. It's not exactly a level playing field when most of us can't transfer characters cause the copy utility is down.
Then again, we had this problem with the AQ40 event, and are going to have it again with the back half of SW25 - servers with lots of BT-level guilds are going to unlock the later bosses much faster than servers with only one Illidan guild.
