I didn't save my numbers, but by looking through wowhead and seeing what's the best spell haste gear I could get, flat out itemizing only for haste, and assuming i'd put a +8 haste gem in every gem slot, I found that, as a priest, if i got every drop and item I wanted, the best I could do was get the GCD down to 1.05 seconds. This would put my greater heal at about 1.75s. Pretty uber, but, also pretty unlikely to achieve.
Maybe pallies could squeak out 1.00s, i don't know, I haven't tried to figure that out.
Now, that's assuming that I was in some guild that was so bored and over-geared that they'd try to gear me out for max spell haste...and considering that i'm not in vis maior or anything like that, heh, not gonna happen.
So, basically, for now I could care less about spell haste. If some happens to show up on a piece of gear I get, cool, but if not, I'm not going to worry about it.
