WoW Moviewatch: Chronicle of the Annoying Quest, Episode 21
Episode 21 is a Dr. Who tribute, where a time mage sends them on an adventure after the villains. They geek out while discussing their favorite actors from the TV show. Once again, I'm left bewildered as to what will happen next and how it wraps up. It's a decent series, though!

Well, the new Doctor Who does totally rock, so... a geeky homage is ok by me.

Urg. Fan homage is all well and good, but it would help if it was more funny than teeth-grindingly nerdy. I only got as far as the explanation of what 'TARDIS' stands for before... God, no. Enough.

I have never been impressed by this show, the writing is un-funny, the voice acting is low energy and the cinematography is extremely uninspired.

bah -- you kids today. that was AWESOME. part of the reason doctor who is so loved is that the stories transcend the low budget effects and sometimes lackluster acting. if you haven't tuned in to the new episodes with tennant or eccleston, you're seriously missing out.

Though the new ones are pretty cool, they still don't stack up to the old ones. Much more story and scifi hardly anything connected to the "real world", per se. The new ones are more "pretty" and the older ones are more like a story to other places.
As for this movie, I was smiling but not impressed. Sorta funny but more just boring.

well, i don't agree that the new ones don't stack up -- the story arcs for the past couple seasons have been stellar. i've been watching dr. who since it was in B&W, so i'm pretty familiar with the majority of the doctors and their various companions. up until tennant came along, i was firmly in the tom baker camp, but now... i'm not so sure! either way, i'm just happy to see the series get new life. i also appreciate how it's appealing to a new generation of geeks, as evidenced in this vid. geeks will *always* argue who's better, and that's a comfort. : )

"Do not. Mock. The Celery!" Now that was pretty funny.
