Patch 2.4's Magtheridon: The new Onyxia?
You may have already heard that Magtheridon will be made easier in patch 2.4, but it looks like Blizzard's adding a few more goodies to make him more enticing to everyone. World of Raids has gotten news from a couple raid groups who have taken him down on the Test server, and it seems he's gotten a few other loot changes as well. First of all, he drops more of the ultimate shiny stuff, 25 gold per raid member by some reports. Taking down a quick raid boss and getting 2 or 3 dailies worth of gold seems like a fair trade. He also now drops a 20 slot bag, called the Pit Lord's Satchel, which is BoP, but not unique. Like all 25-man bosses in 2.4, he will drop Badges of Justice. Finally, he also drops a Black Sack of Gems that will contain various Epic quality gems.
I'm sure if you were in the raid game pre-BC like I was, the same question is coming to mind: Is Magtheridon the new Onyxia for 2.4? Like 2.4's Magtheridon, she drops a really nice bag and a good amount of gold every kill. Like Magtheridon, her head can be turned in for a pretty sweet buff. Too bad Magtheridon's buff isn't quite as awesome, but it's all still there. Right now, Magtheridon is ignored or quickly skipped over by many raid groups, with only a kill or two just to get people their titles. But with these adjustments, both in difficulty and amount of loot dropped, he does seem like he may start looking a lot more alluring.
What do you think? Will these changes have you LF24M Magtheridon on a regular basis?

The Mag fight was not terribly hard. I don't think a nerf was needed at all. They should've stopped at buffing his loot.

Everyone wants legendaries, but only one-two people on each server get one, if any.
I like the idea of having hardcore places, and I hate the idea of having areas accesible to anyone. If you are a casual, don't expect to wear legendaries, and don't think about having one soon.
I hate it when casuals who play a couple of days a week want to get titles and do stuff the easy way, content that other people did by putting lots of effort. I'm not a hardcore, but I managed to play in a way that I made friends and got in a good guild. Everything that we did meant alot of effort and work... and now others who couldn't put the same effort in progressing want to get there the easy way.
WHY?
It is only a game, but it's like football (somehow), and you don't see 2nd league teams entering Champions League aiming for the cup, just because everyone should be in the big game.
If you want to see BT/Hyjal work for it.. recruit your warlocks, etc... like the others did.
Progress means work.

Blizzard has a more altruistic view. Progress means making sure a larger % of your PAYING customer base sees more of the 25-man content before release of WOTLK than was the case with AQ and particularly Naxx with 40-man content and the release of BC.
The obvious issue is that once WOTLK is out, what you haven't seen yet in lvl 70 25-man content, you are unlikely to EVER see.

Just because you did things the hard way means nothing to anyone except you. I personally don't care in the slightest that it was difficult for you. I'm in a guild which is more laid back, and we only happen to have KZ and Gruul on farm, and have skipped Mag. Not everyone will be happy, but I believe more people will be pleased than disappointed in this case, like me.
