Forum post of the day: Really bad quests
Most of us have at least a couple of alt projects that we're working on. Once you've leveled to seventy you get a feeling for which quests are a breeze and which ones are painful. Arross of Thorium brotherhood started a thread entitled Really bad quests where players listed their least favorite quests. Some honorable mentions include:
- Arross of Thorium. "I have to say so far the worst quest I have ever had was Super Sticky in Un'goro Crater. The drop rate isn't bad, it's horrible."
- Shrosarias of Burning Blade, "Any quests having to do with murloc. Murlocs = evil."
- Ashcroft of Smolderthorn, "Zeth'Gor Must Burn! had me tearing my hair out by the roots. It was so very demoralizing to go from BG-topper to single-quest-dyer in one fell swoop."
- Arteree of Rivendare, "Almost every quest in Westfall."
- Etamalgren, "imo, any escort quests are the worst quests overall, except for the skettis daily and the nagrand escort."
Most of the bad quests listed include drop rates or something else that makes them exceptionally time-consuming. I have to say my least favorite quest is Shizz Work in Hellfire Peninsula. This is an easy quest to miss as it's over to the side of Thrallmar. I find it really gross to root through Felhound Poo. Yes, I know it's virtual poo, but that doesn't make it any less yucky. It's only slightly more yucky than A Rare Bean where you have to root through Talbuk poo. I love the Nagrand Cherries you get from the quest, but I'd rather keep my virtual hands clean. There are plenty of harder and more frustrating quests to do, but those are definitely the crappiest quests out there.
What's your least favorite quest?

Some of the most tedious quests I remember are:
Some quest close to ally base in Stonetalon mountain , you collect some tiger claws or something and the droprate is horrible + not enough spawns of the damn things so you spend lots of time waiting for respawn (And i play as priest)
In Swamp of sorrows there is a quest you are getting claws from lobsters there , too bad those damn things are so few and all of them are quite a bit from the shore so you have to swim and kill them AND the droprate is so low it takes atleast a couple of hours to end it.
To add to the insult after hating that beach is a questchain you are killing murlocs , after 2 or 3rd time you get back to kill diffrent murlock types you get to kill Murloc Oracles , whole beach have like 5 total and you have to kill a lot of them (great!) , waste atleast a couple of hours there again.
After doing those quests you'll never want to see that beach again , EVER!

The Skettis Kaliri birds for the bombing daily on a PvP server. Ugh! And now 2.4 patch notes says the damn birds figured out the going vertical trick. Better pack your Skyguard capes people.

Id say that the quest in Blades edge

the drop rate on that quest made me wanna kill myself

Can't seem to find the quest right now, but it's a God Forsaken Murloc Quest in Ashenvale. You have to recover some stone (ruby possibly?) that apparently drops at a less than one percent rate.
Hate Murlocs and hate crap drop quests. Thus, this one is double duty on the craptacular list.
