Save your Stage6 raid videos

If you're like me, you probably have half a dozen boss videos that you either need to watch, or do watch after wipes to learn from them. Stage6 has an option to save these videos to your hard disk, and it looks like after this Thursday, that will be the only way to enjoy them.
In light of the closure of Stage6, what video sites will you use to get high quality boss and strategy videos from?
Edit: A sincere apology to Moo for my gender mistake. Having not met any of my fellow bloggers in real life yet, I mistakenly assumed Moo was a masculine identity. /red-in-the-face. /apologize.

Haha, how could you click on the link to the article, go to comment, and type that and submit it without seeing the VERY FIRST SENTENCE: "Many raiders and machinima fans will be disappointed to learn that Stage6, one of the best purveyors of high quality DivX videos, will be shutting down"?

This was already covered in 'movie watch'. It even answers your question.
http://www.wowinsider.com/2008/02/25/wow-moviewatch-the-fat-cow-v-and-some-bad-news-about-stage6/
'If you are a WoW machinimator in search of sites to upload your videos to, I highly suggest GameTube and Blip.tv. While GameTube has the higher quality and many features in the works, Blip offers the ability to upload multiple versions of the same file within a single video page. Blip also provides flash compression of the first file upload.'
However, if any other users has suggestions, feel free to share.

I am also happy to offer the Machinima Archive as a host for movies, whatever quality and size. (In other words, there is enough space to handle high-quality renders easily.)
http://www.archive.org/details/machinima
Click the box in the upper left and follow link to "contributions." Note that contributions to the Machinima Archive are permanently preserved. You can also upload to the opensource movies collection and leave a message in the Machinima Archive forum; I'll move your movie to the Machinima Archive. Or e-mail me. I'm the curator of the collection, so it's easy to find my name (hint: Lowood) and e-mail.
As others have pointed out, this option is the best if you want to be sure that your machinima piece is permanently archived; there are better viewers out there probably. Also, files submitted to the Internet Archive are converted to a couple of popular formats and streamed in a lower-res version, all for free without you having to do anything other than upload.

He links to the moviewatch in question in the body of this post.
"Moo announced yesterday in his WoW Moviewatch the shut down will take place this Thursday. "
So he's aware that moviewatch already mentioned it.

HAHAHAH you've been trolled F*uckers

Indeed, Moo did mention this. However, there's a lot more to be said about the shut down not in terms of WoW machinima. In particular, and what my post brings to the forefront, is that many raiders will be impacted by Stage6's closure.
And indeed while tools such as GameTube, blip, and archive.org provide individual services, none have the level of quality, accessibility, and scope that Stage6 provided. I'm hoping with this post to dig up community reaction and possible solutions for the loss of such great quality raiding videos.
Cheers all,
Adam.

I do agree with you Adam and my post wasn't meant as a flame (sorry if it sounded like it).
I would also like to see a high-quality hosting service, to replace stage6 (being a user of it myself, hated their upload 'wizard' tho).
Was just mentioning that 2 answers were already up and saying that i'd like to see some more. :)

yeah i usually download movies from quicksilverscreen.com and now all thier movies are hosted by google.com and google videos suck
RichM Feb 27th 2008 1:04AM
True that the quality of Google Video sucks, but they won't ever delete your videos.
I've had a low-res personal collection of game movies hosted there for about 5 years now which I like to go back and watch sometimes.

Hey, I work at a startup called Motionbox.com that would work. Our video playback quality isn't great now but literally next week we are rolling out a higher quality playback experience.
Unrestrained format if you pay a few bucks a year but even the free "SD" quality will be pretty good imminently.
Cheers,
andrew
