NS and EM cooldown reverted on the PTR
In the interests of full coverage, we'll mention this one, but don't keep your hopes up: the latest build on the PTR has reverted the Nature's Swiftness and Elemental Mastery sharing a cooldown change, so Elemental Shamans will once again be able to crank out an instant Chain Lightning or Lightning Bolt crit. Unfortunately, they shouldn't count on it, as lots of changes have gone back and forth on the PTR. It could be that the next time the PTR comes up with a new patch, this change will be right back in.But it does serve as a reminder that no matter how bad some PTR nerfs may seem, nothing is finalized until it hits the live realms. The Test Realm is for testing, so we shouldn't be surprised when Blizzard does exactly that with it.
Thanks, Giusepe!

I wasn't very bothered by this change, since it's pretty much a waste to use both at once anyway, but I'm glad they reverted it.

Waste? Have you ever been on an Arena Team? Using both NS And EM is not only a common practice among the best Elem Shaman players, but it simply makes sense. The most important thing we bring to Arenas is Burst Damage. That's what NS+EM is.

Shaman are a class designed for pve content, while you can pvp on them(and hopefully will be viable to pvp soon), that's still it's bread and butter.
My guess is Baluki is speaking from the pve point of view, where saving it for the heal is a much smarter idea.

I understand that, which is why I spoke up. He made a sweeping generalization about a change that apparently doesn't effect his spec at all. In PvE, I TOTALLY see why you'd want to save NS for a heal, but it simply isn't the same for us PvPers. That means this issue is one of PvP. And from that perspective, we're THRILLED they reverted this. ^.^

I'm not sure I get your point boom, he wasn't making any sort of generalization, he was just stating his own opinion. You may disagree with his opinion, and I think that is fine, but that is really just another individual opinion in the mix.
Of course it kind of stop being fine when you start speaking for everyone, which "we're" implies. I'm a 2200 rated elemental shaman and I don't utilize both very often when I'm in the arenas.

Fair enough! You're the first Elem Shaman I've heard say that, but It was my own ignorance to assume there weren't Arenas Elem Shaman like yourself. (Just like the OP assumed that using the two abilities was a "waste")
I stand corrected.
I personally rely on this ability alot, and I'm glad they put it back. (for what thats worth.) :) thanks for putting me on the right track Woosy.

I'm disappointed about this... Its stupid to blow them both at the same time, this just forces people to be intelligent about their usage.
The crit should be an opener with CL while NS should be used for a big heal or an instant LB.

Of course, they can't reverse something they never put on the PTR in the first place. Like the windfury nerf, since that was a hotfix. And I'm not bitter...
