Cute. I love players who go for a gimmick. But I'm baffled. 18.5k hp? I may be a noob, but I'm stuck trying to figure out how to get that while still maintaining Defense and Avoidance. I pretty casual, clearing half of Kara once a week, but I hang at 13.5k HP unbuffed and and confused as to how to pick up another 500 stamina (well, slightly less thanks to Tauren bonus and vitality).

18.5k is pretty easily doable while still having enough defense and avoidance with Kara/Heroic gear and stacking +12 stamina gems. My tank (pally) is depending on gear, at 493-495 def, between 103-108 avoidance, and with the right group makeup (and gear swapping) get dang close to 18.1-18.2k HP while still wearing a couple of blues (damn Netherspite refuses to drop his shoulders).I do however question, needing 18.5k to tank anything in Kara... Gruul's and above heck yeah, anything in Kara absolutely not. Our MT is roughly at about 17k health and our healers barely break a sweat keeping him and I healed throughout all fights.

When I say 18.5 k, I mean that's what I raid with: it's not meant specifically as a Karazhan target number. My unbuffed health is at 15080 or so, but I have T5 gloves, the hat from Zul'Aman and the Unwavering Legguards from badges.

I tanked prince for the first time last week on my pally with just under 14K health and just over 14K armor (before buffs). I have 492 defense (uncrittable) and just over 102.4% combined avoidance (uncrushable). The first attempt, I ran out of mana and we wiped. The second attempt, I judged and sealed wisdom the whole time and we were successful.Note that I didn't use any flasks or food buffs. I only used wizard oil on my sword for the extra spell damage. So for a shaman, I think the biggest problem is going to be mana as well, not armor and health. If you have a balanced group that really knows the fight well, it's really not that tough. Positioning the groupt to avoid the elementals and shadow novas is critical. If you're in the wrong spot, you're dead....Krickhttp://www.tankadin.com
