@35I totally agree with that, and it seems that the general population does treat mages like a vending machine. The guild I'm in however find mages to be quite a valuable raiding tool (dps and cc included) and we bring upwards of 4 into our 25 mans (probably more if we had reliable ones ;P). Its just a shame that some people don't see them as the jewel they are (and have the potential of being). That said, I play a warlock, and of course I get jealous at times when I'm out dps'ed by a mage, but hey, I roll with it and just try a little harder next time. Do I think I should be #1 all the time? Nope. If we downed the boss and got our phat lewtz, then I'm happy and satisfied with what transpired. A little friendly dps competition is alright, but when it starts interfering with your enjoyment of the game, its time to take a step back and remember what truly matters to you game wise. Was it being number one all the time, or was it the satisfaction of working with your guildies and bringing down that boss?As far as the pvp aspect goes? I don't pvp much anymore. I don't arena enough to stay competitive with those folks that are fervent with season whatever gear. I just can't compete in my pve epix. So i have nothing constructive to add to that debate whatsoever. In fact, I think I just rambled completely about nothing. =P
