A shinier WoW
WoW is a fairly good-looking game, especially when compared to some other MMOs, but let's face it: it hasn't had much of a change to its graphics quality since its release in 2004, and you can tell. To give you an idea of how pretty it could be, Youtube user qelss has rendered several models from WoW with more light and some additional filters; you can see one above, and more on his profile page. As MMO-Champion notes, these are fan-made and not previews of anything, but it's still fun to look at the gleaming swords and armor.

if it's a "turn on/off" feature of the game I don't see a problem to it, but if it changes the graphics engine of the game to make it heavier, I will see all the supporters of "better" graphics crying for daddy to buy a better computer cos alterac lags in the cave, imagine 40 of those models + buffs + ppl running and talking all the way, or the road to the 1st boss.
also think that this is a game and not everyone has the possibility of living in a country where high end computers are accesible, most of the ppl playing wow will have to go get the GPU around the corner to do this, or will just enjoy a screenshot like image of most parts of the game.
wow's graphics is cool as they are, the cartoonish idea gives the game a more fluid movement in pvp for example, adding more can turn it into a civilization style game :D
besides I play it at full detail and the graphics are not bad at all, whilst cartoonish they're very good models
