Breakfast Topic: What's the next bit of WoTLK news you want to see?
Wrath of the Lich King is still some time away, it's true. Many gaming stores and websites seem to be anticipating an October or November release, but Blizzard's keeping mum on the exact date so far.
Luckily, they aren't leaving us completely high and dry, since we still get small trickles of information in the form of bestiary updates, pages on zones, and blue posts that offer tantalizing hints as to the new content. Still, It never seems like enough. I'm sure we all have specific things we're hoping to find out about. I'm a Death Knight fan, so I want to know more about what the new class will be able to do, so I can plan how best to spread grim death unto my enemies when I roll mine. I also wouldn't mind a bit more information on what the Nerubians are up to these days, and whether we'll find them to be friend or foe when we come to Azjol-Nerub.
What WotLK news are you dying for? Do you want to see new talent trees for your main's class? Is there a dungeon that you're dying to see? Is there some little piece of old lore you're hoping to see pop back up in Northrend?

I must admit, I'm really curious of what the 51 pt. talent in the priest holy tree could be.

Holyform. Holyform. Holyform!
If you say it often enough, you almost believe it. ^^
Bootsanator Mar 13th 2008 1:53PM
Wow, that's something I hadn't thought of.
If Holyform is the 51 point talent....
WTF happens to Divine Spirit priests?
Are they going to do some tweaking to the Disc tree so I still want to be the DS Priest?
Damn...
Kaething Mar 13th 2008 5:36PM
I am a tree druid and a holy priest.
Holyform is retarded. It's always been retarded, and you don't want it. Trust me, the tree may seem greener from the other side, but there are a lot of issues with making a specific form that locks out other abilities. There are far superior ways to make something definitive and beneficial without imposing restrictions.

I really wanna hear about the lore of Ashbringer
and the Titans
Cant wait :D
Azurelle Mar 13th 2008 8:47AM
I agree with you. :) The lore that is scattered through Azeroth at the moment is great - I often stop to read the little books that are left on tables to read. I almost wish I could take them away with me as items unto themselves.
Chais Mar 13th 2008 8:51AM
Lol me too

I wanna know what's going on with Naxxramas.

I'm curious about the Vrykul king. The Vrykul believe their king will awake at the right time (or something) and have obviously formed an alliance with the Scourge to awake him, though they'll obviously bring him back as a zombie. I'd like to see the 25-man raid that will contain the king being rezzed but as a super-zombie, to the horror of the Vrykul.

I think since Father Inigo Montoya (I giggle every time I see that) likely absconded with KT's Phylacrdohickey, the plot will follow another rebirth for our favorite Lich. If it's a full Naxx boss-wise, that is seriously full of win right there. Some of those fights are still engaging and fun, and trying to do them on a 10-man will be all sorts of awesome.
Poor Kel'thazad. He probably just wants a nap at this point.
Bloodmoon Mar 13th 2008 8:07AM
The new talents..
Elmo Mar 13th 2008 8:10AM
new spells and talents most of all.
or something epic like the shaman/paladin thing in BC
when will they officially announce every class gets a 4th talent tree?
JPN Mar 13th 2008 8:10AM
I would like more news about the mount situation in woltk - what, when, where, how, cost, etc.
Jordrah Mar 13th 2008 8:14AM
talent and spell news, i also want a detailed walkthru of the quests that must be done to unlock deathknights before the game even comes out so i can start preparing for it lol
BitterCupOJoe Mar 13th 2008 8:30AM
They've said, repeatedly, that Death nights will be a straight level-unlock, no quest lines required. They haven't said what level specifically, but somewhere int he 60-70 range seems reasonable.
Baluki Mar 13th 2008 8:36AM
No, actually Blizz has said a few times that it WILL require a questline.
glorft Mar 13th 2008 9:33AM
I'd be pissed like hell if there WASN'T a huge questline. Otherwise just give a death knight to whoever makes an account. Keeping a long questchain will add to the thrill of getting the new class. And the quests should be available at 70 giving a toon of 55.

The most recent statement I've seen directly from a blue on this is here: http://forums.worldofwarcraft.com/thread.html?topicId=3466290055&pageNo=1&sid=1#4
The stickied WotLK FAQ thread http://forums.worldofwarcraft.com/thread.html?topicId=1777869906&sid=1 and wowwiki http://www.wowwiki.com/Starting_a_Death_Knight also agree. There will be quests, but they're quests the Death Knight has to perform in order to leave their starting zone, not to unlock the class in the first place. If you have something more recent, from a blue, I'd love to hear it.
