You sir are a huntard if you can't trap effectively in PvE.Know your mobs, use LoS (or silencing shot)

@ Bloodelfer1. That's to be expected. It's arena - you're playing people, not machines. Besides, they waste mana or a cooldown getting out of it, and you've got another trap to go in 30 seconds. And if you don't like the CC option, use Immolation Trap and get some damage on that sucker.2. If they hit you with spells from a distance, and you have to trap them, you put a trap halfway between the two of you, and run backwards until they run into it, or Silencing Shot / trap, or Scatter Shot / Trap. It's really a lot easier than you think it is.That said, do me a favor and never play your hunter again. You're making my toon roll over in his grave. :P-Track

Bloodelfer, no, if they say "LF1M DPS/CC", well, that's exactly what they mean. If they needed a mage specifically, that's what they would say.Others have already said it, but LoS is your friend. There are very few caster pulls where there isn't some sort of LoS option. And when there isn't, there's always range. Run back until the caster is forced to stop casting and chase after you until they hit the trap. Yes, you will sacrifice a precious few seconds of DPSing while doing this, but it is absolutely worth it.I'm currently MM/Survival, but I was BM for a very long time and I assure you, this works just as well as BM.It takes practice. When I first started doing instances, I sucked at it. But keep working at it, and you'll do fine. Every CC-option (even sheep) has limitations. The key is to learn those limitations and get the most out of what your CC can do. And trapping, as it turns out, can do rather a lot.

I usually use it only as a last resort, but it is also possible to just run up on the caster and drop a trap in his face. This also works in a pinch if you see a mob pounding on the healer. Just drop a trap on them.

Wow... /facepalm learn to play hunter and come back when you have, if not level a rogue and complain about sapalso beast lord 2 set bonus is brilliant for all hunters as it decreases its cooldown
