Series 3 action figures incoming!

Tamuura sports the Tier 6 raid set Tempest Regalia, while Sister Benedron is depicted in Tier 5 Avatar gear with exaggerated shoulder wings; Skeeve Sorrowblade appears to be wearing a highly-detailed version of Deathmantle, the Rogue Tier 5 set; and Quin'thalan Sunfire looks... well, he looks like he's a generic Silvermoon City guard whom you ask for directions. It's a bit disappointing, personally, although I guess it's cool to have a Silvermoon City guard. It would be kind of like having a named Stormtrooper or something. Historically, DC Direct's action figures have appeared in the World of Warcraft comic, so expect one or more of these new figures to make an appearance in the Chris Metzen-approved canon comic series.
More pictures after the jump. So clickety-click, toy lovers (and uh, WoW fans)...

Not quite as hot as the Draenei females in-game, but it's a good substitute if you never got your hands on an Aayla Secura action figure.

"The Auction House is over... there!"

Tier 5 apparently also comes with combat face paint.

That priest is sporting some nice heels on her. Shame that ingame character aren't spotting any.
Jack Spicer Mar 18th 2008 3:11PM
Why does the Blood Elf Paladin figurine look like a Blood Elf guard? Is there any armor available to players that looks anything like what the guy is wearing?
JessPachWay Mar 18th 2008 3:12PM
I respect how neat looking the Warcraft figure line is, but none of them really struck a chord with me until I saw the upcoming priest. That's definitely a "do want."
Zeiness Mar 18th 2008 3:19PM
Are draeneis supposed to look like cartoony aliens or like blue humans? It seems art varies between the two...
Fuzzfuzz Mar 18th 2008 3:24PM
What the hell? No taurens?!?! Again?!?!
Sinestra Mar 18th 2008 3:31PM
Still no Hunters...yet they're repeating other classes.
The Draenei mage looks terrible, too. Ugh, I'm extremely disappointed.
Nick S Mar 18th 2008 3:50PM
yeah, kind of a big "meh" for me. figureprints ftw.
FailedNinja Mar 18th 2008 3:41PM
The priest looks pretty nice. If the mage didn't have the stupid pointy hat it would be good. They have hide helm for a reason.
Silverlynx35 Mar 18th 2008 3:44PM
It's a shame. Love toys. Love WoW. Got the money for both but these figures just don't work for me. It's like what Jess said, none of them struck a chord with me yet. Put some interchangable armor or something on there, I don't know.
BillDoor Mar 18th 2008 3:50PM
They don't work for me either, but I think that's because quite simply, I don't have a personal connection with any of them. They fail where figureprints succeeds. Unless Blizzard decides to mass produce an exact model of my character, I'm not really compelled to buy it.
davidus Mar 18th 2008 3:57PM
Thanks for showing a blow up picture of the rogue, the only one I wanted to see.
Zach Mar 18th 2008 6:34PM
I wanted to check it out, too, Davidus. Unfortunately, I couldn't find one anywhere. The announcement only had those three for some reason.
kunukia Mar 18th 2008 4:10PM
Until they make a female dwarf of any class, I will pass. I have lady Dwarfs of every class, and they are my favorites.
MechChef Mar 18th 2008 4:06PM
The UD rogue does look evil enough. Very evil. Much more than any character you'll see in game. And while I love my class, something about him doesn't do it for me. Maybe it's that whole doll-thing that I grew out of so long ago, not that I'd play with him though. Maybe I just don't want a big-ass figurine on my shelf that I'd probably have to explain to people who come over. Most of my friends don't know I'm a gamer, much less a WoW player.
Elph Mar 18th 2008 4:36PM
I think these figures are gorgeous. I especially like the priest and mage.
WOES Mar 18th 2008 5:52PM
Must have that priestess... the first one I've been interested in at all, and I have never played a priest. Looks amazing.
Could be partially because I'm about to start studying library science-I imagine she'll make a great patron saint with that hefty tome in her hand.
SaintStryfe Mar 18th 2008 6:55PM
As another WoW Librarian, welcome to the fold.
Yes, she will be very cool. LOL
Matt Mar 18th 2008 6:40PM
Oh what the hell. Would it have been that hard to do a human mage in T5? Draenei in T6 is probably the single worst possible combo for a mage.
Wolftech Mar 18th 2008 7:43PM
Damn.. still no Gnome Mage? Nope.. not buying one until they give me my Gnome Mage.
Jinvasha Mar 19th 2008 3:21AM
It still boggles me that Chris Metzen approved that terrible excuse for a comic in the first place... sigh...
On topic though, it's nice to see more races and classes getting the lurv.
